I just got this response from Arcooda:
"In reply to your email, pay only in $US not in Hong Kong $$, this is a ploy by the bank, so they can charge more money in conversion fees and we get less. This account is a US account.
Please confirm that you have paid in $US."
Let me know what...
That's a good idea... my only caveat would be if they miss their target ship date or something catastrophic happened, you'd be out the full amount and not just $1500.
I was looking at Transferwise, but I couldn't find a way to transfer USD to USD. It would only let me transfer USD to foreign currency and Arcooda asked for USD. What did you do?
I also got an email confirmation from Arcooda about wire transfer date:
"As long as you provide us with a copy of your banks transaction receipt before the 30th June, 2018 - this will be fine."
I just confirmation from Arcooda. If your bank requires that you enter the account address to wire the money, you use this address, as epetti said.
44-48 Maitland Rd, Ground Floor (Entry via Myola St),
Mayfield East 2304, NSW, Australia
My bank wants the address on the business account for the wire transfer, but the instructions only have the bank address. I emailed Arcooda... but do you happen to know it, Gusbomb?
As someone who works in public relations and marketing, I feel like Arcooda must not have a very good marketing team. I feel like I want to by this in spite of their efforts to sell it, which is insane since it's a significantly less valuable item in just a few days. From what everyone has said...
So does this mean that we're effectively putting a down payment of $2000 since the $499 software is "free" if the cabinet is purchased before June 30? I'm fine with that... I just don't want to do the $1500 wire transfer and have them say, "Oooooh... but you didn't purchase the software before...
I'm cool with all that. And if I can just plug in a second PC and run whatever I want without tampering with the Arcooda-installed PC (they basically say you can in this video, which Arcooda used as an example on Facebook as a comparable plug and play system), then I'm all in. Sure, I'd love to...
Weird... there was a Facebook thread about bypassing the Arcooda frontend to use Windows 10 and Arcooda's response was:
"We understand many customers are looking to make modification however our model is designed for plug and play. And if you have problems, the PC needs to be repaired by our...
Absolutely. At this point, all I need to hear is "If you connect a second PC, you can use the three monitors however you want," and I'm in for an Ultra. Because while it's cool to be able to play 76 TPA tables and other stuff... it would be an absolute game changer to play absolutely WHATEVER I...
I've been following that post with great interest. Unfortunately, Arcooda has been been terrible at replying to Facebook posts in a timely manner. It's all shame because the cabinet looks amazing... but by not answering these questions AND releasing some truly awful videos (like the one of the...
I have a friend in a band who did a Kickstarter. Near the end, they got a surge and their project was funded. I asked him about it and he said that the individual band members kicked in some money toward the end (as individuals, not as the band) because they didn't want to lose all the money...
From the Risks and Challenges section of the T2 Kickstarter page:
"We're targeting a release date of August 2013, but it's possible this date might slip if we encounter unforeseen problems in development."
I wish I would have known that the tournament scores wouldn't be saved to my tables. I got my highest scores by a long shot on Medieval Madness, Twilight Zone and Star Trek.
