Still waiting for the PC version, but I caved and dropped the $10 to play on PS4 right now. Do the audio samples sound bad to anybody else? Sounds like they're playing back at a low sample rate and have some static and clipping in them. I haven't touched the PS4 version in a long time, but I...
The interface surprised me at how awful it is. I was expecting a copy of the PS4 UI and instead got something that looks like it came directly from a phone. Couldn't even select some of the menu options without using the mouse.
Downsampling won't help with textures. Farsight upgraded the digital camera they use to take pics somewhere around like season 3 or 4. I don't think the texture resolution has changed, just the quality of source images they're using to create them.
I tried SPA over the weekend. I haven't touched TPA on PS4 in a long time, but immediately felt like the L1 and R1 buttons on the new DS4 weren't up to the task. They feel like they have too much travel and are slightly mushy. I don't remember them feeling like that when I played TPA with the...
Isn't the OR, or VR headsets in general supposed to run at 70+ Hz? Isn't TPA's physics tied to its framerate and hard capped at 60 fps? Is the engine getting an overhaul?
This show was a real letdown compared to the last couple years. What happened??? The convention was around the same time last year, but had probably 3x to 4x as many tables. Why did attendance and the number of tables plummet?
I only went Friday night and didn't realize the vendor hall...
This problem has existed, and has been widely reported, for 2 years. Farsight are aware of it, but seem incapable of fixing it. I don't think the mac version is much of a priority for them.
I'm not sure if I'm having the exact same problem you guys are, but DX11 resolution is screwed up for me. I'm on a 16:9 1920x1080 tv and have the back buffer set to 3840x2160 and TPA set to full screen. TPA runs in full screen, but I have big letterboxing on the top and bottom of the screen...
I don't own any season 4 tables. When I pick Previous Seasons from the main menu, nothing happens. It plays the audio ding that selecting something normally does, but I remain on the main menu. All season 4 tables are missing for me.
Oh no, I get that. What I mean is that the music sounds different from what I remember coming out of the actual table. I was wondering if licensing ZZ Top fell through and we got a designer impostor cover version instead.
I captured some video. If this is what it is supposed to sound like...
Is it? The song sounds weird to me. Not at all how I remember it sounding. The voice samples are also weirdly off. Like they're played back way too low. Can't quite describe what is wrong with the music. Playing at the wrong sample rate maybe? Anybody else noticing some strangeness?
Are graphical updates part of this re-tuning? Some of the early tables, especially before they got a better camera to take pics and switched to doing one table per month, look really rough in spots.
I'm getting occasional choppy, studdering gameplay. Has happened on several tables. Every time it is going on, I look at Steam's FPS counter and it says 60 FPS. Seems to pop up when the camera is moving from the default position. Even if the game is running at 60 FPS, the camera movement...
