This is the master issues list for Harley Davidson Third Edition. This thread is maintained to aid FarSight in exterminating gameplay bugs, art issues, and sound problems from HD3E.

This thread is locked to keep it clean and focused on actual issues, as opposed to opinions about such issues. Report art issues in the Art forum, and all other issues in a new thread in this table's forum. I will add newly-reported issues to this thread at regular intervals. In addition, each bug has a link to the thread it was reported in; discussion of bugs should take place there.

Status key:
  • New - Issues that are newly reported.
  • Unknown - Issues from a long time ago that have not been followed up in a while so that no one really knows what happened to them.
  • Confirmed / Open - Issues that either I've personally reproduced, that so many people have reported that the existence of the issue is not in doubt, and/or that members have posted a demonstration (like a YouTube clip) of the issue.
  • Acknowledged - Issues that have been acknowledged by FarSight, but for which no fix exists yet.
  • Fix Pending - Issues that have fixed by FarSight, but the fix is in testing or submission process and is not yet available to players.
  • Fixed - Issues that have been resolved by FarSight. Note that not all platforms receive bug fixes at the same time, so an issue that is "Fixed" may still be unresolved on some platforms.
  • Could Not Reproduce - Issues that were reported, but the issue has not been successfully reproduced.
  • Working as Designed - Issues that are bugs or quirks in the actual table, as well as other issues that result from design or licensing constraints.

13-001: Completing standard goals does not reveal wizard goals

Description: Completing the standard goals does not enable the wizard goals. On the next game, the standard goals are all shown uncompleted.

13-002: Ball traveling through inlane experiences sudden and unexpected acceleration
First reported: 30 Sep 2012
Description: A ball lazily entering an inlane suddenly and unexpectedly accelerates and powers through. Chance of occurrence is increased if the right inlane is involved.

13-003: Match animation does not start after last ball drains
First reported: 01 Oct 2012
Description: After losing the last ball, the match animation does not display. Player is forced to quit game manually.

13-004: Starting a four-player game actually starts a three-player game

Description: Choosing 4 players in Game Setup menu starts a 3-player game.

13-005: Multiple balls entered shooter lane, auto-plunger unable to free them
First reported: 22 Nov 2012
Description: During an unspecificed multiball, 3 balls ended up in the shooter lane. The autoplunger is not strong enough to free 3 balls out simultaneously, so the game became unplayable.

13-006: Hitting an unspecified scoop at start of Speedometer Multiball locks camera to plunger

Description: Shooting an unspecified scoop [SDC: I'm assuming Mystery Rider but it could also be the Stoplight] at the start of Speedometer Multiball causes the camera to lock onto the shooter lane.

13-007: Scoring Harley Super Jackpot while draining another ball loses both balls

Description: Shooting Harley Super Jackpot simultaneously with draining the other ball gives the audio sequence for Harley SJ, but both balls are lost.

13-008: Starting a patch hurry-up and video mode at same time displays the patch hurry-up while video mode runs in background

Description: The video mode runs together with the patch hurry-up, and since the DMD displays the patch hurry-up value, the player has to play the video mode blind.

Description: The ball occasionally falls through the Speedometer ramp before it reaches the actual end of the ramp.

13-011: Game loses track of number of balls in play during multiball
First reported: 22 Nov 2012
Description: In Red Light Multiball and Speedometer Multiball, the game may sometimes lose track of the number of balls in play. This leads to multiball continuing when only 1 ball remains. When that ball drains, there is no ball to continue play and the table does not proceed to bonus count.
