This is the master issues list for Space Shuttle. This thread is maintained to aid FarSight in exterminating gameplay bugs, art issues, and sound problems from SS.

This thread is locked to keep it clean and focused on actual issues, as opposed to opinions about such issues. Report art issues in the Art forum, and all other issues in a new thread in this table's forum. I will add newly-reported issues to this thread at regular intervals. In addition, each bug has a link to the thread it was reported in; discussion of bugs should take place there.

  • Created initial list.

Status key:
  • New - Issues that are newly reported.
  • Unknown - Issues from a long time ago that have not been followed up in a while so that no one really knows what happened to them.
  • Confirmed / Open - Issues that either I've personally reproduced, that so many people have reported that the existence of the issue is not in doubt, and/or that members have posted a demonstration (like a YouTube clip) of the issue.
  • Acknowledged - Issues that have been acknowledged by FarSight, but for which no fix exists yet.
  • Fix Pending - Issues that have fixed by FarSight, but the fix is in testing or submission process and is not yet available to players.
  • Fixed - Issues that have been resolved by FarSight. Note that not all platforms receive bug fixes at the same time, so an issue that is "Fixed" may still be unresolved on some platforms.
  • Could Not Reproduce - Issues that were reported, but the issue has not been successfully reproduced.
  • Working as Designed - Issues that are bugs or quirks in the actual table, as well as other issues that result from design or licensing constraints.


GAMEPLAY ISSUES:

27-001: Ball in play and credits remaining counters on HUD are always blank
First reported: 19 Apr 2013
Description: The two smaller displays in the HUD, for ball in play and credits remaining, are always blank.
Devices: iOS
TPA Version: iOS v1.2.6
Status: Fixed in iOS v1.2.7.

27-002: High scores grant HOF points but are not saved to local high score list
First reported: 19 Apr 2013
Description: Achieving a high score will grant the appropriate number of HOF points, but the score is not saved to the local high score list.
Devices: iOS
TPA Version: iOS v1.2.6
Status: Fixed in iOS v1.2.7.

27-003: On iPhone 5, the camera is too zoomed in
First reported: 20 Apr 2013
Description: Camera views on the iPhone 5 are too tight to the playfield, leaving the outlanes and edges of the table off the screen.
Devices: iOS (iPhone 5)
TPA Version: iOS v1.2.6
Status: Fixed in iOS v1.2.7.

ART ISSUES:

27-501: Shoot Again insert looks lit even when it is not
First reported: 19 Apr 2013
Description: The Shoot Again insert is bright enough when not illuminated for players to easily think it's lit.
Devices: iOS
TPA Version: iOS v1.2.6
Status: Fixed in iOS v2.9.0.

INSTRUCTION ISSUES:

27-701: Stop and Score maximum value stated incorrectly
First reported: 19 Apr 2013
Description: On Pages 48 and 58, the Stop & Score value ranges from 20,000 to 99,990 points, not 99,999 points. (The HUD will spin the one's digit as well during Stop & Score, but it always lands on 0.)

Status: Fixed in iOS v2.9.0.

MISCELLANEOUS ISSUES:

27-901: Default fourth high score is an impossible value
First reported: 19 Apr 2013
Description: The default fourth high score (400,514) has a score that ends in 4, which is not possible on Space Shuttle.
Devices: iOS
TPA Version: iOS v1.2.6
Status: Fixed in iOS v2.9.0.

501, 701, and 901 should be fixed in iOS v2.9.0 with Space Shuttle v6.


Edit: 501 and 901 appear to be fixed in Space Shuttle v5 already, however.
