There is a design bug in Cirqus Voltaire. Notice the flippers of the original table (picture 1) and compare it to the iPad screen shot. Take a look at the right flipper, it's position looks odd compared to the left flipper.. (distance space between flipper and the metal strip, don't know the name for that in english.)

All I know is that the metal rail you're talking about is to prevent bounce-back when a ball heads towards the outhole, then bounces back off the outhole guide chute. I *think* those metal rails are called "Bang-back Rails".

Between the screenshot and the game, it looks like they are in a different position, however, if you look at the "Shoot Again" circle, they are pointing to the correct locations in relation to that. I actually think the bang back rails are in the wrong place if anything or the flippers might be a bit wider. The real table looks like it has newer Gottlieb flippers....maybe replacements?

Clown explosions happen several times per game, depending on how often you defeat a Ringmaster...

(Usually the playfield has nowhere near that much light falling on it and the schizophrenic effect of the artwork is much reduced.)

Yeah, it doesn't look that frantic when playing on my ipad.
