I'm in favor of the Warriors too, just because I kinda feel it's keeping it in the family with Thompson's dad having been a Laker.
I'm terribly torn about this Clippers vs Spurs series. I absolutely don't want the Clippers getting out of the first round. See above as being a Lakers fan. See my avatar too. But then I absolutely don't want the Spurs to have an opportunity to go all the way and get Duncan a 6th ring.
I also don't want the Cavs to go anywhere, because screw LeBron. And same goes towards the Rockets because screw Dwight "I don't wanna be a leader" Howard. But then who am I kidding. I stopped caring months ago when I knew the Lakers weren't gonna do a thing, and all I care about now is the draft! Wheeeee!

Go Broncos, Go Patriots and the SeaHawks are playing SeaSissy ball again. Just like the old days, they will never make playoffs this year.

My Sixers got clubbed in their first two games. They are in mid-season form already.

Yep, it was a close one. Thought they might actually steal that game for a minute there. They have a game with the Lakers in a few days. I'm hoping the streak ends there. Lakers are struggling as well this season.

Just what I need to hear...People looking to the Lakers to help them out. One of our local radio hosts keep saying to watch Lakers games with a piece of tape over the score so we can concentrate more on the development of Russel/Randle/Clarkson and enjoy that rather than worry about how much they're losing by. I'm patient, but this sucks

Usually takes time for young players to grow. But yeah, it can be painful to watch.

I think the most painful thing about the Lakers this season isn't watching Kobe struggle, it's listening to how people think he should be taken out back and put down like some old horse. I want him to have a farewell lap, I love that the organization embraces him for the legacy he leaves, and I just want him to finish out a season standing on two feet. Even losing, having Kobe as a mentor for the entire season (as well as Meta) will benefit these young guys more than any of the haters even realize.

The thing is... the Lakers are not young, and their young players are not talented:
- The Sixers are the youngest team, by far. The Magic are the 2nd youngest.
- The Lakers' average age is 27.0. This is 16th-youngest; the Lakers are older than the average team.

- The Lakers' young players who have 80 minutes played, and their WS/48 are:

...... Jordan Clarkson (.032)

...... a WS/48 of .050 is about 5th-starter to 1st-off-bench level. I don't think any of these guys will ever be the starter for any playoff team. They're bad, and the three that people usually talk about (Clarkson, Randle, Russell) are really bad.

- I'm enjoying the continuing fall of Kobe, the most overrated player in USA pro sports history. He's been among the worst NBA starters for a few years now. He's almost the worst starter in the NBA this year, with an absurd WS/48 of -0.077. He's second-worst... the worst is 19-year-old rookie Emmanuel Mudiay, at -0.107.
- Kobe's shot 16.4 shots per game and made 31% of them. For some reason, he's attempted seven three-pointers a game. This is the most of his career. It's not a good idea, as he's made a whopping 19% of them.
- My theory is that the Lakers are still letting Kobe play because they're tanking and hoping to catch the 76ers.

Lakers don't tank. It's not in our DNA. It sends the wrong message to players about what kind of organization you are. Do the Lakers have a huge ego? Damn straight. Lot of pride too. I'm sure that's what makes their fall so delicious to those that hate them. It's very interesting, people's opinions of Kobe who aren't Los Angelinos. I guess it's the same sort of derision I have for LeBron, or anyone ever associated with the Celtics. As for Kobe being overrated? A few years back, there wasn't a team in the league who wouldn't have chewed off their left testicle to have him. Quit pretending he was just some average player.
