So I got help over on the Linus Tech Tips forums and sorted this out.
Still wrapping my head around the resource leaks but in the meantime have a new build based on VigEm to simulate an Xbox 360 controller instead of key presses.
This does expose some limitations with the Duo Pinball, the...
Is anyone on the forum who is still around familiar with C# and can help me make one last push to get this working with Xbox 360 controller emulation?
I have everything necessary to get it working (I think) but I have a huge blind spot for object oriented programming that is preventing me from...
Availability is relative, by all reports I believe PS5 has sold much better than any other Playstation over the same time period - but the demand is also higher still.
I mean sure, there are way more people with PS4s than PS5s, but if that was a good reason to focus on PS4 then you might as...
I don't know about the mobile versions, but the MacOS version of the app is a HUGE downgrade vs Pinball FX3 on Steam.
Firstly, the rendering resolution is tied to the desktop scaling so on my 4K monitor with no scaling it tries to run at 4K which is hilarious.
Worse still is even if I switched...
That I think is a VERY good point they are missing.
I honestly can't imagine the changes being transformative enough to be worth buying again (considering I've already bought them several times over seeing as I have tables across Xbox, Playstation, Steam, Windows, Switch).
The key feature for...
Has anyone else noticed how the sand trap "hit the moving light" hits C in KICK but on TPA it would hit K?
I'm also curious, the lines said by the Gofers are different, is this due to a different censorship level setting?
The audio quality also seems much clearer than TPA, is this due to TPA...
I'm pretty sure developers CAN position the popup, fairly sure I have seen it at the top on the odd game, which would be far less intrusive.
They may even be able to put it in a corner but I'm not entirely sure about that.
I doubt very much this version is getting and more patches though.
I don't think its that easy to change trophies (maybe even impossible) without breaking it for everyone who DOES have the tables.
They can possibly add new trophies, or re-release a new TBA SKU with a different batch of trophies, although I think the latter is unlikely to happen.
Using Steam in-home streaming on my laptop I have been surprised that I never really felt any latency playing TBA. I wonder if it has less latency than Steam-link or I'm just less sensitive to it?
I'd say Steam, because if for some reason the iOS version stops being updated the chances of it running on new iOS versions is slim to none, whereas I can't imagine the Steam version suddenly breaking as PC backwards compatibility is fairly solid since DX9. (and further back in many cases...
As someone who also hasn't played much real-life pinball but managed to catch up in TPA, this list sounds about right.
I have played launch plus season 1 & 2 far more than the later ones with the exception of Addams Family which I adore.
Sounds about the same as my experience. I stopped bothering with it after the DX11 update and just boot into Windows or use my laptop (which can't handle DX11 anyway).
Ah so the lucky people in the US who bought it quickly get to keep the WMS tables?
I was kinda expecting them to refund everyone and wipe the slate clean, seeing as it can't be very many people.
