I'm actually a bit surprised PBA came that close to Lawbreakers. Pinball is very much a niche genre. With the FPS scene as big as it is, even the commercial failures get a ton of exposure.
He was able to get that with the regular $150 version. He had posted instructions on how to do so in one of his posts earlier, but it looks like he edited it to remove them.
Unlikely. The June 30th cutoff was a condition of FarSight's contract with the WMS rights holders. They'd be opening themselves up to the possibility of a lawsuit if they offered it beyond that.

ETA: He had instructions earlier on how to get it to work, but they've since been removed.
Hi. Someone in another thread was able to discover how to get 3D Kinect support working on the $150 Steam cabinet unlock. Can we expect this capability to be preserved going forward, or is it likely to be patched up at some point?
That would contradict what others have previously been told by FarSight. It sounds like someone somewhere has been misinformed one way or the other.
Can we get verification from FarSight_Matt or FlippyFloppy on this?
Don't know about the exact timing myself, but in any case, it's probably a good idea to make any purchases you plan to make at least a couple days before the cutoff. If anything were to go sideways with the purchasing process for some reason, it's better to be safe than sorry.
Totally understandable. As someone stated in another thread here, it's wise to base your buying decisions on the current state of the software, not on what it might have in the future.
I'm not aware of one. But if one did show up at a later date, I imagine it would work universally for any tables that you own, regardless of whether those tables are still available for sale.
The thing about any cabinet view is that it'll only look completely correct if the user views the monitor from the same angle and distance as the in-game camera views the virtual table - the stretching is a simple perspective distortion that cancels out the distorted perspective the user would...
Interesting idea! I haven't seen an approach like that for a pinball controller before. An inward-rotated layout does seem more ergonomic for when the hands are close together.
Thanks for sharing!
Sadly, it wouldn't matter how much money we offer FarSight. Scientific Games (the holders of the WMS IP) are the ones who made the decision, and they have the final say. Either they have different plans for that IP, or they have no further interest in going through the trouble of licensing it -...
