Yes I was pleasantly surprised, the binding issue took 9 months to fix so I feared the worst. I'd love to see something new from Farsight to keep things interesting, but unless there's a complete engine overhaul the Stern licence could be put to better use elsewhere.
Farsight pushed an update last night (1.71.27) which seems to have fixed the key binding issue. Unfortunately it has also introduced issues launching a number of tables in DX11 and immediately crashes to desktop (e.g. Ghostbusters, Cactus Canyon, Star Trek TNG, Ripley's).
I've uploaded the exe...
I use those Challenge slots to store tables I rarely want to play (Safecracker/Junkyard/Champion Pub). Easy challenges tend to be the most time efficient for parts/coins and I skip many of them to maximise earnings. I reckon Party Zone One-Ball is the quickest as you can win off the plunge...
I received the notification, though likewise I received a server error and was unable to claim. The same problem occurred with the free tickets in December, it's a one time opportunity.
Just noticed this Bonus Challenge has appeared in the store (100 coins).
Fairly certain I previously spent coins unlocking an additional Challenge mode
Yeah I made that call on the ball spin and it may still play some part in it - I believe I got a response from Zen saying they'd investigate. Wish there was a dev-tool we could access with numerical data as it would be possible to make clearer observations, perhaps as a beta/test function as you...
Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas!
I eventually managed to connect to the server though I was awarded no tickets, just a notification that I had already claimed the offer. Shame but no great loss.
I usually receive their VIP/e-shots although not on this occasion, according to Twitter the reward link is: http://bit.ly/WMSMagic
The app does open but it takes an age then gets stuck on a Fetching Data prompt, but that could be due to the rampant server issues.
I've now maxed all the tables, though I'll keep playing a few challenges a day to top up my dwindling coin and ticket balance!
A subtle but perhaps noteworthy observation, my Grade 4 tables are no longer classified as 'owned' in the Arcade section. Clearly a change made to better comply with...
No it's not just you, several of the Williams tables exhibit this unusual behaviour (Android/PC). Presumably those ramps and rails have been assigned a friction value, if the ball speed is not of greater value it changes direction. This window of opportunity seems to be fairly narrow so the...
TOTAN - Aside from the sound issues good job overall.
CV - Excellent presentation but gameplay feels off and I'm not enjoying it. (playing the real cab was one of my pinball highlights of the year).
NGG - Really growing on me, I hated the TPA version. It feels cramped and looks somewhat...
Yeah that 50000 included four promotions (12000), though the final upgrade requires Zen coins.
I do have enough to max everything but that would leave little incentive to play challenges for several months.
Just blown a cool 50000 tickets, although I still have another 50000 in the bank
Latest progress:
CFTBL 4*
MB 73/100
CV 50/100
NGG 29/100
TOTAN 62/100
I got into VR way back in 2014 and confident it will breakthrough eventually, at least as a partner format. I'm also pretty desperate for Williams in VR, keen to pay something for that privilege but would struggle to justify paying for every table pack twice. I consider myself a huge fan but...
It is indeed mysterious, here in the UK it's £9.49 for grade 2 (versus £7.19 for Steam versions) and immediately unappealing unless you're living a care-free lifestyle. That same amount would pay for 350 coins > 17x Vol 5 boosters > 87 parts. You'd prob get the Monster and Vol 5 tables close...
