Haven't seen this particular issue but one thing that annoys me is the subtle difference in physics between the Air and my old iPad 3. Anyone who thinks I'm imagining things and owns one of each can try for themselves. It's most noticeable on Attack from Mars and Road Show, when you keep a...
They are closely related, they look closely related and for all I know the real machines might have felt very closely related in terms of how they played... but in PBA, Taxi is your friend and lets you drift into a comfortable flow, while Diner is resolutely adversarial like a school bully who...
As the OP said, it may be the best modern Gottlieb table but that's not saying much. Visually it's a mess that hurts the eyes, they threw in everything and the kitchen sink. The "ready, set, go" thing is the worst, most disruptive buzzkill yet, perhaps only rivaled by the "Save the girl" video...
What I really want to know is why Boris has no particular accent. The other four are stereotypes, but Boris has no discernible Russian accent. Just sounds like some generic American dude yelling "I'll have burgers... and fries", except burgers sounds more like burglars.
Taxi is benign by comparison, not a third as merciless as this one. The drains are crazy random and lightning quick. You see something zap across the screen on a demented trajectory and the ball is history before you know it. The huge open area on the lower playfield is the worst. AFM has that...
I never tried Drainer... sorry, Diner back in the day, but I did play Taxi a few times and given the similarities I assumed the gameplay would be somewhat Taxi-esque. Unfortunately it was more reminiscent of Fish Tales. A great score on Taxi is the result of solid, patient and consistent labor...
Yeah, this happens on several tables (Seen it on TZ, T2, HD, MM and more) and has destroyed many good games for me. I found this thread b/c I just had it happen in TZ this morning and googled the issue. It's similar to a thing that sometimes happens on Dr Dude, when it gets stuck in a closeup of...
I tried these methods once about a year back when all my Pro version purchases were gone (not the tables), and was able to restore everything except AFM Pro which TPA insists I never bought. My App Store receipt disagrees.
I got 328mil on my first game and hit 1000 HoF, which never happened on any of the other 40+ tables. Closest I got was 890 on AFM after gazillions of attempts. I'm stuck on 43 HoF points on Fish Tales. Something's gotta be off with both the ease of play, the default high scores and the HoF...
On and off I've been wondering whether there's some sort of secret internal cheat mode that automatically rigs your first game to be awesome. The purpose being that users who try a new table pack before they buy get a much more hopeful impression of a new table and how nice it'll be to them...
