I'll stick with Pinball FX3. I'm not about to pay for all 40+ tables again to migrate them to PBFX4, for a slight improvement in gfx. It would have been nice if they did what they've been doing and allow us to import them into the new version. That's what gets me to buy more tables.. I like to...
I haven't posted here much, in the past year. This was mostly due to health issues. I hope to get more, back into playing, and posting about pinball again. I apologize if these "wishes" have already been discussed, which they likely have, but if so, and any of these upgrades/changes have already...
While it's nice that Microsoft is still supporting some degree of backwards compatibility, it's still not complete backwards compatibility. For me personally, if all of my games aren't supported, I leave the original consoles set up. (I currently have 18 of them on a rack). Sony had the right...
GamePass seems decent, but Plus is a better deal for me. I've been a Plus member since the beginning. I now have over 700 free PSN games available to me, with new ones being added each month. I also stacked 10 years worth of Plus when it was only $22/year. So I can't complain about that. I...
Nothing is being "held back" by having a port on the PS4. They are of course optimized for the PS5, and then scaled down to work on the PS4. Think of it like a PC game with the settings set to "low detail", lower resolution, "advanced ray tracing: off", and so on. If you own a PS4 and don't want...
Sony has stated that they will have 15 million PS5 systems out to retailers by the end of 2020. This is unprecedented. The PS4 launch was considered largely ramped up, and that was 7 million units. PS5's are selling out, stockholders should be very, very, happy.
It's also common for game...
A "cash grab"? Sony, selling PS5 systems at $399 / $499 (for digital only, optical drive, respectfully). They are likely losing $200+ on every system sold.
I only currently have a 1080p setup, with plans of eventually upgrading to 4K, but even on 1080p, the upgrade in visuals is very apparent...
I still think there is a good chance of it working on the PS5. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan reiterated that 99% of PS4 games will be working on the new console.
"Ryan also said that of the thousands of games tested for PS4 backwards compatibility, “99 percent” can be played on the next console."...
I think most indie games, and those which didn't tax the PS4, will be fine on the PS5, without the need for tweaking. I also think Sony has a large team that's going through all of the titles, to ensure they all (eventually) work smoothly. I wouldn't worry too much.
I wasn't sure if this has been discussed yet, but with the PS5 system only a few months away, I have been thinking about this. Hopefully it can be sorted out since I plan on replacing my launch model PS4 with a PS5, and would like to continue playing pinball on it.
Also, with the higher clock...
I keep seeing really nice looking tables made by Stern and wonder if we will ever get a digital version. The new Aerosmith table looks great.
I thought there was some news about Stern licensing this type of content for both the physical table, as well as a digital representation. This would...
Nope.. I'm not lying. You have no idea how I play. I've been playing pinball in an arcade setting since the 70's and I nudge without tilting. I also perform dead drops, live catches, and death saves, where the ball drains SDTM and with a few hard nudges will bounce back up through the out lane...
