i have never seen this machine. but i would buy it just because it has 3 spinners, all next to each other. for some reason i derive so much pleasure whenever i nail one of those with a solid shot and it spins over and over for a few seconds.
live catching is one skill i just don't have. i have to admit that i really haven't tried to hone this particular skill. i have done it a few times on accident IRL and almost soiled my pants. it feels so good when it happens.
i don't expierance lag. i am using an old (fat) ps3 system and a fairly new controller.
the only lag i do come across is the switching of the lights above the rollovers (top right) on monster bash. they seem to have about a 1/4 second lag when i use the flippers to change them.
i hurt for...
unfortunately i have very poor wi-fi and it isn't strong enough for my ps3 or my psvita. to download table packs i have to go to a friends house and use his internet.
my gamertag on playstation network is neglectoid.... same as it is here.
i find it amazing that someone loves TPA and hasn't...
i also remember seeing a star trek voyager episode where Ed Begley JR was playing a pinball machine. i also seem to recall MR Burns from the simpsons playing a pinball machine in an early season episode.
i'm ready to play harley davidson. i have played it before IRL and enjoyed it. it's one of the few tables that i can actually pull off a death save. i already have taxi on PHOF the williams collection. and i'm happy with that version. same as MEDIEVAL MADNESS. which is why i didnt buy that table...
on the pinball arcade i use the phantom flip mostly fom the left flipper to hit the scoop (extra ball, dracula, multiball(s) mummy) when its lit.
it has a better chance of hitting that shot than i do.
or sometimes i save them up for the bride. fun fun fun.
we use to call that a HUXLEY.
i just remember people using that term. then in the late 80's or early 90's i think a machine actually acknowledeged it. or something silimilar.
this thread is awesome. i thought i was the only one that got a woody when i saw a pin on tv or a movie. the tv show "my name is earl" has a couple of old school pins in the back of the bar. i could never make out the names of the machines though.
in the 90's i was playing ALOT of pinball machines IRL (4-7 hours a day 5 days a week). i think i was developing carpel tunnel syndrome. i dont play much pinball IRL anymore so i can't say if it was permanent.
