That used to be the case, but with 1.1.5 a table you bought in the free version is available on the paid version, and vice-versa. So if you want to move over to the paid version, you can (but it'll cost you a buck). You'll also lose your scores and settings, though you may be able to back them...

What's the pixel density though? That's where you really notice it between the iPad 2, and the 3.

Definitely also send an email if you log a bug. While a number of the developers are on the forum, not all of them are. Sending an email with the problem will ensure it gets to the proper person at FarSight.
