I consider myself to be up-to-date when it comes to Mac info, and this is the first I've heard that in-app purchases can only be done with Lion. I'm sure most people had no idea of the limitation.

Have you tried rebooting the iPad? I have an iPad 3, and I haven't experienced that problem.

It's been tested multiple places, and basically putting a sold state drive in the PS3 does very, very little in terms of performance. Given the prices of the drives, and the lack of performance improvements, I can't see them putting a solid state drive in a new model.
