TPA Lighting
Did you try adjusting the lighting under Options? I found that turning up the room light to 80 percent illuminates the table as well so you can see the ball.
Given how seldom FS releases new tables for either TPA or SPA, it p*sses me off that they're offering different versions of these tables, presumably to rake in more coin. I have to assume that more versions means slower releases. HUMBUG!!!
So when is the PS store releasing games these days in No. America? It used to be Tuesdays -- is that still the day? I want GB, but I don't think I want a bundle, given the hit-or-miss appeal of some of the other Stern tables...
I've played FS's new Dr. Who table a number of times and have had to conclude that this table doesn't make it.
I have tried to analyze what makes a pinball table great and come up with the following factors:
Interesting playfield employing ramps, chutes, sub-playfields, disrupters like...
Those are my thoughts exactly. Frankenstein, for example, grabbed me immediately (on PBA). Interesting table layout, fun challenges, deep game play.
The other thing I don't like about SPA is the long load times between the arcade room and the tables. Wassup wit dat?
Ac/dc
I'm indifferent to AC/DC. I am responding to the table solely for its intrinsic play value. To me a great table is fun to play from the gitgo, without reading pages and pages of instructions. The shots are varied and fun to hit, lights let you know where the bonuses are, there are a...
Wow
You have infinitely more patience delving into this rather boring table than I do. I don't find AC/DC anywhere near as interesting/involving as Frankenstein, for example...
I have to say, though, that these real tables on PA are the best (well, maybe not the Gottliebs!) I used to like Zen Pinball, but as soon as PA came on the scene, I found the real tables much more fun -- they generally make clear what you're supposed to hit to score a bonus. The Zen tables did...
This is so confusing... But I just upgraded from a PS3 to a PS4, so maybe I'm out of synch...
Do you know if there's a list of all the S5 tables somewhere?
I have a Season 5 (NON-Pro) pass and was able to download the three new tables from the PS store.
Let me try retracing my steps again:
1) Start PS store on PS4 main menu.
2) Search for Pinball Arcade game.
3) When PA game page comes up, click on Add-Ons.
4) Scroll all the way to the right and...

Getting last 3 tables of Season 5
Go to the PS store, search Pinball Arcade, then add-ons. Scroll down to the three new tables, and on each table's page find a pull-down menu that says "SELECT VERSION." ($4.99 is showing, but if you pull down the menu, you will also find a FREE version!)...
Thanks for that list of recommended PS4 games -- I will look into the ones that have one-year price drops... Incidentally, I haven't noticed the audio glitches in the PS4 tables that commenters here keep talking about; I think one of the tables had some strange clicks, but the others were fine...
Thanks for this input. Unfortunately, I sold the PS3 to buy the PS4. So I have signed up for Season 5 again, but I will re-purchase only my very favorite tables from the previous seasons...
It's really annoying that FS didn't offer a better deal for PS3/4 transitions...
