Well I've been playing a couple days with everything off and I have to say it is awesome. Shots are going where I expect them to, and when they don't, it's because I screwed up. Absolutely love it!
ND3G's summary is exactly what worked for me. It seems like multiple factors. (Tv specs, wireless controller etc.) would explain why different people are experiencing it to different degrees.
I'm not sure if it would necessarily affect both versions on the same tv. I always figured it was due to the PS3's wireless controller. I did also have a slight lag on PHOF-WC.
Ok, I turned off EVERYTHING. gamma, cinema mode, etc. and it seems to have helped. My tv is only a 60hz Bravia.
I think some of the improvement also came from putting some time into it and re-learning the new timing and feel of the tables. The longer i played, the more accurate and confident my...
I'll always love PHoF-WC. I was waiting for months for that one too hahah. I bought it mainly for Pinbot, but ended up loving several of the tables even more. Now years later, I found a great place near me for pinball. It's fantastic to play these machines for the first time and already know the...
The ball seems to have more weight (ps3) compared to the iOS version. Taking me a bit to get the timing of the shots. Really incredible game. Looks beautiful in 1080p.
Thanks Nik. Even with the HUD off there is very slight choppiness and a bit of lag on the flippers (mm and bop). This phone is almost 2 years old and I never ran games on it. Like i said, even scrolling webpages is choppy so I didn't expect it to even work at all. Just waiting for the 2 yr...
I grabbed it. Choppy. Some tables are worse than others. Bop and mm are especially hard to play. I figured that might be the case because half the time it is choppy when I'm just scrolling pages. Also, I'm already almost out of space on my phone. These first 6 tables are the first thing I've...
Thank you Nik, I don't mind the ten bucks. We spend $20-$40 everytime we play real pinball on the weekends. My main concerns are that it is playable on my ancient phone. Plus if I have it on my phone, that means I have it at work. Probably not good.
I have an EVO 4g about a year and a half old. TPA shows up in my market. Played bop on my friend's galaxy s2 and am considering d/ling to my phone to hold me over until iPad/ps3 release. Does anyone here have the game on this phone?
I'm cool with however they do it. I suppose announcing a few days before release would be ideal imo. I can't really think of a single table I would be unhappy with seeing. This sitting and thinking about it/checking for info/updates is nuts though. When they tell you a month or two ahead of time...
I'm just as impatient to dl them as anyone but that's no reason to be a dick. Got to play mm and bop on my gal's galaxy s2 and now I'm REALLY dying to get it on my ipad2 and PS3. I agree with the above.
I had one unbelievable game (134 million) where I got really lucky. It gave me ripley's letters for a bonus a bunch of times. I ended up getting all 7 letters plus another R-I-P-L-E! Got to Atlantis and kicked butt. Can't even come close to that again.
For me, it's pretty simple. I was way happy to be able to play these tables at home when the Williams collection came out. On my ipad 2, these look and feel much improved from WC. If the ps3 version is even better than this, then for $10 I'm not gonna say sh#% . I absolutely love these tables so...
Now that we've found Blainbrook here in Minnesota, we've been hitting it every weekend. 50+ tables. They have tournaments but until I get my chops up I'm gonna wait lol. I really stunk it up last weekend heheh
