Yes, I've already sent an email to someone I know at CBS. My "day job" is running TVShowsOnDVD.com, so I deal with studio people on a fairly regular basis, and have good contacts in the home video divisions of all the major (and many smaller) studios.
I wouldn't say that, it's just harder to promote because the table is a stretch goal. Looking at the Kickstarter page, it's 98% about Twilight Zone.
I've just emailed some people I know at CBS to find out who runs StarTrek.com, and see if we can get something posted to the site about the table.
I hear ya there! I'm 6'8", and I used to get the exit row on most flights. That's not possible now because of the baby, so I was a little... stiff after getting off the last flight. Flying sucks, but it's worth the hassle to visit other places in the world.
He was surprisingly good on all the flights. I think we had maybe a minute of crying on each flight (with flights lasting 4 hours, 9 hours and 2.5 hours). He definitely wasn't the "annoying crying baby" on the flight.
I'll wade through the options for VB and find a way to get Pin Wiz the ability to post to the homepage.
I tried posting something about the Kickstarter being funded while I was in Ukraine (I'm back now, and tired), but the post didn't go through, and I could get back to working on it before...
Brought to you by the letter G...
guys, clearly they are tables selected by someone whose name begins with G, like Gord Lacey ;)
(Please note, I had nothing to do with selecting the next tables, just having some fun.)
And the last few days have been sitting around $1000/day, so it looks like that's what it's leveled off to. Not bad. I'll definitely be contributing when I get back home from my trip.
Good question, Richard, and not one that anyone here would be able to answer.
Serenseven, I love the recent comment about special FX balls. Yes, because we need a ball that shoots fire out the back of it like on Back to the Future. Ahhhhhhhh!!
I think it's a great idea, and I'd have no problem giving FarSight some extra money to enable to operator menus. Now, should it be a per-table ($0.99?) or a one-time unlock fee ($10?). I think a per-table fee may be best simply because FarSight would have to test on a per table basis, but the...
I find a lot of the comments on the Kickstarter to be rather hilarious. People are freaking out, and suggesting all these other expensive ideas as incentives. Someone suggested releasing another table to go along with TZ. Umm... they'd still have to license that other table, which increases...
Let's stick to discussion of the Twilight Zone project, not other Kickstarters.
Not everyone interested in the table has contributed money. I've been busy preparing for a trip (that I'm now on) and haven't had a chance to kick any money into the pot. Not sure how much I'm in for yet, but it'll...
I'm off to visit my in-laws in Ukraine for 10 days, so I probably won't be around much. I leave you in the wonderful hands of our awesome mods :)
19 hours on airplanes (4 hours down), you know what I'll be playing ;)
