Gord, a huge thank you.
This forum has been such a blessing and has introduced me to quite a few people I have personal connections with now.
Perhaps the biggest bit of gratitude I owe you is when you made that connection with Mel at Zen, who you then immediately introduced me to. That is...
Where the hell did you find the pilot episode?? I haven't heard that in years! We sound very odd, the flow is a bit janky, but the kernals of what BlahCade would become are certainly there.
This has to be the silliest 'hot take' I've read in quite a while. FarSight has not made a new digital pinball table since 2018 I think? And no, TPA was not universally hated during it's entire existence, far from it. The biggest gripe just had to do with there being so much potential that...
In the past when a new table dropped, there would be a 'limited time' event that would offer up table parts for those tables specifically, enough to get you up to 2 stars. This was to help people who hadn't maxed out all the tables yet and were getting a mish mash of parts for all the tables...
Uh, quick cash grab?
First, it’s part of the Apple Arcade subscription, where you also have access to hundreds of other full ad free games. Second, and Zen has made no bones about it, this is reaching out to an audience that might not otherwise pay attention to pinball. Based on ranking of...
I'm happy that the app crash that was happening every single time I got multiball on ToM got fixed. I started playing with my DS4 controller on my iPhone (I had no idea I could do that!) and yep, there's no way to exit out of the achievements screen with the controller. I've never experienced...
Based on what was just released with Zen Pinball Party, and assuming Pinball FX will utilize it too, there should indeed be a slider for adjusting the camera position rather than having predefined views.
Mel already told us, it's a matter of priorities in the studio. So Switch, PS5 and new Xbox will get it at launch. PS4 and Xbone will potentially see it later, but it's not guaranteed. Mel did tell us in the BlahCade interview that he certainly recognizes the install base they would be ignoring...
Gottlieb Premiere never seemed to think through their designs much.
"Hey, let's just throw it up on the wall and see if it sticks."
"Sir, the entire room was just wallpapered and the glue hasn't dried."
"Well then it all makes it onto the table!"
Never noticed that before, but I just looked the game up on IPDB.org and looking at the flyer, it seems they might have been going for a Death Race 2000 vibe. On the flyer is specifically says "Load your weapons, check your equipment, and start your engines. You are about to start the race of...
It's a nearly 10 year old game engine that TPA runs on. With no big ticket license, producing a new game engine to match modern expectations all so they could pump out a few more Gottlieb titles makes little sense. FarSight keeps playing the victim rather than admitting to their own shortcomings...
That's up to Gord to create new categories. Your best bet is to start an ALP Mods thread and start posting. If it gets a lot of activity or starts others to create ALP threads, that would perhaps show how necessary a new forum listing would be.
The question is, can they get it airborn this time? We've been talking about Arcooda pinball machines on the BlahCade since 2016, yet they've never managed to actually ship one out. On Twitter they've been laying out a bunch of proof that they were first and everyone else copied them with...
I should mention, it's two buildings and the main one is where the pinball is. The other building? A whole mess of arcade games.
It really was a staggering experience walking into a giant space with that many pinball machines turned on and making noise. I went 3 different times, spent around...
Wilbers, the Museum of Pinball in Banning California is no more. It was the site of over 600 machines and also hosted the INDISC tourney yearly, but sadly due to zoning issues it was never able to be open more than 4 weekends a year. Oops. And then COVID hit which didn't do the site any favors...
I got the game up and running yesterday...
Headset - Rift
Game version - Steam
Controls - PinSim
So no, if you have a Rift you can't even buy the game on the Oculus store, that is for Quest 1 and 2 only.
I tried using my PinSim right off the bat and other than hitting A to start the game, it...
It’s very interesting that it took the Legends Pinball platform to make people truly enjoy the Zaccaria library. Previously the main comments were always about the physics being too floaty and of course the oddball design, but with ALP, suddenly those things don’t seem to matter. I don’t know if...
