Damn right!
He's on my imaginary X-mas cards list for sure.
That he can keep a level head whilst reading some posts (mostly on the Steam forums) makes me think he is a very patient and loving father :P
Since he is the one head honcho on doing the table physics tweaking I have a few questions about that:
1. I'm interested in the deeper ideas and working with the physics engine - an indepth article on there site would be nice :)
1.1 How much is "tweaking" or impart a forced projectory on balls...
Thanks for the update!
Roadshow got pretty decent views though, but it needs a backglass & table view so that is what I will add with your exellent mod
Whew! Did Ripley's (poorly) and Harley; now I need a break from all that tension...
First play on Harley I only played 2 balls because I plunged one I thought was an extra ball :P Was a pretty decent score for 2 balls - 179M. But the second run went a bit better so I can submit that without...
Yeah, I really try to stay away from the new 3.X physics because it throws my skill (called skill) in the other tables. Last month I stopped playing Xenon because of it.
Please Bobby, stay over night at work for a month or so working the physics for all the tables
It should be random with Dx11 now.
If you have not already, opt out of beta as this is now part of the regular releases (thus the beta is not updated anymore).
Cheers (literally)
All this is good and fine, Zen can do new tables as good as they can get hopefully, but I just a tinsy weensy worried about rights and licenses for Farsight. I want FS continue releasling old tables that are currently under Stern umbrella (Williams, Bally, Sega...), this was one of my concerns...
Table specific noises aside (tables that sound very distinctive in there mechanics that is), the mechanics are just that, noise. I would think if table designers could rid themselves of much of that extra layer of unwanted noise they would be very appreciate.
That being said, I don't wont them...
Guess we agree then
Also bought Civilization 5; that gonna sink some hours...
But when will I have time, I must practice for the Blahcade Tournament...
As long as there is a slider ;)
I would really like to hear that they sample each table specific. Not use a generic bumper sound or 'clack' of the flippers. And where is the 'hum' on our EMs?
Sound is a really great way to bring that little bit extra in there.
Well, Farsight got tons of stuff...
I go nuts with Mods playing those games that support it. Have been a small time modder and big time user for donkey years, for me it is the only way to play these games - brings so much more but in the end makes them impossible to really finish as you just got to tryout one more thing, one new...
Damn right I am seeing it. The flippers got 'fall time' and I can do a micro flip if I want on Big Shoot, but not on the other tables. But no dead or live catch so I guess it is still being tweaked.
And I'm not that good, not as good as you mpad anyway :)
This was a really neat podcast. Not too long to have a go in one sitting and interviewing not only Jersey Jack but other interesting and knowledgeable people. This one is a keeper!
