It means always using a controller. Remember this UI is also going to be ported to consoles so it has to work 100% with a controller. Last time I used it I still had to use the mouse to enter initials, because the "Enter" button has to be pressed by the pointer and not the A button (on an X360...
Jurassic Park has one of the best (and most difficult) multiballs ever. It also has a fantastic sound package. I'll agree that art-wise it's a bit lacking, outside of multiball the gameplay is a mashup of TAF and Whirlwind, and the toys keep breaking (especially T-Rex). But as Data Easts of...
To have a practice game, or not, that is the question. The thing is, when I start a game and say "this is a practice game" I cannot go back on myself and make it a "real" game when it starts going well.
It's going to be A.G. Soccer Ball or TX-Sector, the last of the two "leaked" tables for Season 5.
By thinking like this and setting myself up for disappointment, I'll be pleasantly surprised this evening when I get the newsletter and the hint points at it being something entirely different...
That seems to suggest that each table's playfield is actually two 2048x2048 textures stitched together, which explains why there is a single-pixel black "seam" in the middle of most tables (at least for me in Steam DX11...). This also suggests that going more than 2048x4096 as a back-buffer...
I know it's not done but a couple things...
Stern App will be shown at California Extreme in July and Replay Fx (Pittsburgh) in August.
Wii U is slowly passing Nintendo's hurdles... they got an email about one today but there are still some tests to pass apparently.
Maybe thinking about doing...
I've been fine with my X360 wireless controller since:
1. Swapping the flippers to the shoulder buttons. (This causes problems in a couple of recent tables wrt entering initials, but even then there's a workaround to fix that.)
2. Upgrading to Windows 10 - I did get random dropouts with Win 7...
I hope everyone realizes that it is Stern, not Farsight, who is controlling information about SPA. Farsight are absolutely not going to say anything that could jeopardize their standing with Stern. They almost certainly have some kind of NDA in place that prevents them from making any comments...
In all of pinball, not just TPA, my fave is Jurassic Park. C-H-A-O-S! (And yes I've collected both 6-ball super jackpots; and yes as soon as they were lit that was the quickest I've ever hit that smart missile button.)
In TPA, regular multiball, probably TAF because of the intro, and the...
Well apart from this which was posted here:
