Starship Troopers didn't have 7 lead actors prominently displayed, or the notoriously hard to license Dalek on it. The licensing of Doctor Who is so tricky, the 'modern' version of the show almost didn't even get to use Daleks in it. So don't let the stature of a project determine how easy a...
There's a few possible answers to this.
1. Zen is willing (and maybe has the deep pockets) to lay out the money for the license first, knowing they will have enough sales on the back end to cover it.
2. Whereas TPA has to pay out a royalty to WMS/Stern/Gottlieb for every table sold, PLUS...
I just finally got around to looking at Jack*Bot...yeah, I know. Anyway, am I the only one who thinks the lights are way to bright? The GI lights are completely blown out white blobs and anything over 15%. At 0% you can see them as bulbs, but a lot of the other lighting is then on the dim side...
Finally got my Mosh Pit Super Jackpot. I decided to play without the volume on. First time playing, I get it. Don't know if that was a direct affect of not getting worked up by the music or finally just getting my mojo going, but it's done. I think next time I play this in my league, I'm going...
I'm in favor of the Warriors too, just because I kinda feel it's keeping it in the family with Thompson's dad having been a Laker.
I'm terribly torn about this Clippers vs Spurs series. I absolutely don't want the Clippers getting out of the first round. See above as being a Lakers fan. See my...
I always wish there was a little description for all the camera options in Zen. Like I'll get an angle I like, only to find the camera now zooms around with the ball. And I can never remember out of the 7 or 8 options which are static, which are dynamic.
I don't know, after a few hours playing TPA or Zen, I get used to their 'style' and forget about the other. Much more difficult if you bounce back and forth between the two.
I hear you on the flat look, some tables are better than others though. There are some Zen tables that to me have no depth at all, like Plants vs. Zombies. Then I saw it in 3D, and I was stunned. I've never seen TPA in 3D, so I wonder what I'd think. I do gotta say, switching over to PC and...
For some reason Flipper Football gives me a very Goin' Nuts vibe. Is it the layout? The bland colors? Don't know, but I'd have to actually play it to convince me otherwise!
Should being the operative word. I had 2 balls cradled on the left. I hit Frankie twice, and then hit the bride ramp. Since we can't do a ball juggle in TPA, I do a quick flip, sending balls everywhere. I finally regain control, minus one ball. I get another Frankie ramp, and then an erroneous...
9. And I know where one is! Actually if this individual let FarSight into his home to take necessary pics, they could grab Krull, King Kong, and Lochness while they're at it. Dub it 'the lost' season.
So I didn't get to play this last week. I finished up the goals on CBW quickly, and then jumped on this. All I've got left is the Mosh Pit Super Jackpot and it is frustrating me. Never knew 10 times up the Frankie ramp could be such a pain, but controlling the multiball and doing that at the...
No, the original BBB did not have a plaque. They were prototypes and never sent out into the wild. The plaques were simply because those tables being produced were going straight to collectors. Stern does a similar thing I think with their limited edition premier tables. But yes, BBB allowed...
They actually do, as it is part of the Sega license if I'm not mistaken. What has held them back is the emulation apparently will be processor heavy or something. On top of that, there are only the 4 tables (?) which makes it questionable for putting in that much work.
Moving monsters was removed from actual production run. Most owners have done the mod to make 'em move again. As per FarSight's license, they can only produce what was part of the official production run. Which really blows. Wish that could be revisited with WMS.
Hey Mike...
Even in this not quite finished state, you have pushed more fixes and user requests into this DX11 build than I've ever seen in TPA. Yeah, even more so than the PS3 super patch. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you not taking the easy way out, and I'm sure I'm not alone...
I just ran through a bunch. Centaur, Cactus Canyon, Champion Pub, and BSD are all now playable with 0% lighting, which they weren't previously. I agree that CV for some reason isn't as shiny, but it's still miles better than it was. I looked at White Water and it's damn near perfect on that...
