I saw these at CAX. The flipper buttons are too far up making you stretch for 'em, and the corners are too sharp for your palms. I didn't bother to look further into how they did the backglass since I was turned off right away.
But only as a setting. That way I can ignore it.
Edit: I take that back. I'd like options to adjust flipper strength, table slope, slingshot strength and so on. Kinda like Zacc. But randomized failure? No.
I was about to say that I never reached the wizard mode in HS2, but then it occurs to me, I've never reached the wizard mode on ANY table IRL. Unlike TPA, I never had endless tokens.
Isn't this the definition of "toggle"? :)
But seriously, all that would be needed is one button that shows 2 states. Heck, the button could even look like the shifter with the knob either in the up position or down.
Are you sure? It doesn't have to be a PC gamepad. Just one that's USB, like a corded PS3/4 or XB360/One. Any gamer friend or family might have one laying about. And if not, think about getting one. Makes nudging easier and less tilty.
To answer the question. It ebbs and flows. Currently, I've been on a Diner and Fish Tails binge lately. Probably due to the difficulty. My actual favorites take too long to play.
