So I guess now we wait until E3 to maybe actually see what the console looks like?
And all that Gaikai cloud service and social interaction...smells like premium priced online interaction to me.
Smart move though essentially making any mobile device capable of playing Playstation content.
FS...
One other reason FS needs the physical table in their possession...so it can be one of the tables in their eventual Bar-Cade!
I swear I'm more excited over the prospect of that than anything. Even if it's years off away from happening.
Please?
Well get used to Kinect, 'cause it's gonna be packaged with every new Xbox. Apparently it will have to be connected in order for the console to work. Or at least that's what the rumors are.
Blu-Ray is what drove up the cost of the console (hitting Sony with a $200 loss for each sold), not what caused it to bomb. Hubris hurt the PS3 more than anything at the start here in America. Go look at 360 numbers in Japan at launch and tell me how they did. Right? Makes the PS3 look like a...
I certainly do not want FarSight to slow down on the table releases. I think it is a great schedule that keeps us interested in playing the game. I would like them to hire more people. Specifically, I'd like them to hire people that can optimize the game for specific platforms. I don't even know...
I couldn't find the Intellivision screen shot unfortunately. Remember when in the adverts for Coleco where they'd show what the other two versions of the game looked like? You have no idea how bad I wanted the ColecoVision. There's a tragic childhood story of mine about it that I can share later.
So with these polls, this is the first I'm seeing Vita graphics and I'm am absolutely shocked.
These are as bad as some of the lesser authors in VP used to put out, circa 2005. No wonder it's being given away free with PS3 purchase.
Now, in comparison, what do the Zen tables look like? Is Zen...
Exactly. Zen was working with Lucasfilm, thus the 'boutique' type of business model I mentioned. Not sure if the Marvel deal was prior to Disney acquiring that, but I think it was. Now Zen has a foot in the door and kinda snuck in, thus I'm sure future dealings would be much smoother as it's...
Tesla would be beautiful in real life, all bronzed out and steam punked. Wolverine would be an easy real life conversion too. The ninja would just be pop up targets, and the fight between the two characters could happen entirely on the DMD. Actually, if Zen used the Jersey Jack approach with an...
Nothing to revisit license wise for a table they've already done. Any changes to the art or look of the table just need to be approved once more by WMS or Stern. I don't think physics changes need approval.
Also, because it doesn't seem to matter with me refreshing my email address, can we please post the Newsletter somewhere on this forum, or a link to it? I've only ever gotten twice in my inbox. Someone turn it into a jpeg and then post it in the forum!
My first thoughts too were for Cactus Canyon and Space Shuttle. But then I never played the Gottlieb collection, so I wouldn't know what to guess from there!
That was all cutting room floor material, right? Recycled footage? But at least with that, when an actor signs on for a film, the producers have the right to do what they will with the footage, within reason. I mean there was that Albert Brooks film 15 or so years ago that was supposed to be a...
