A Simpsons kickstarter will never happen. Rupert Murdoch ain't cheap!
Neither Demolition Man nor StarGate will happen either. The licenses just aren't popular enough, even though I loved Demolition Man pinball and StarGate is Premier's best table IMO.
I just think given that some people go...
If you want to buy FirePower 2 and you don't have the season pass, forget it. TPA will not let you buy just the table pack, or the pro pack.
Buying tables is now all or nothing as of this table pack.
Awhile back, I was thinking the same thing. Mostly so FarSight could polish up the season 1 and 2 tables which, IMO, deserve the same graphical treatment the later tables seem to be getting. I would love to see WH2O with the same clarity that WipeOut seems to have.
By the way, I owe...
I just watched the twitchstream with Firepower II on steam-which crashed not once, not twice, but three times!
If it were not obvious before, it should be now-FarSight cannot handle two projects at once. They need to seriously decide which project they will continue to support. With TPA...
Doesn't sound like Stern's being very supportive of FarSight either. I know I don't sound supportive of them on these boards either (despite buying every table sim they've put out thus far, w/SPA included) but I'm just a forum poster-this is a business partner of FarSight we're talking about...
Let's face it, the new GB movie should have been better. There's been nearly three decades to hash out a decent story line. That's what always bugs me about remakes and sequels which are so far apart. Someone is not using time wisely.
Speaking of decades, the next SPA update...............
It's better than I expected-one of the more solid Premiers yet. Call-outs are repetitive but I love the one "see that ski pole-I'll shove it up your "beep".
Premier seemed to be at their prime in that time-Gladiators was well done, Big Hurt was enjoyable, and Stargate was their best effort...
I like WC very well, and SnS is one of my most wanted tables.
I know that Banzai Run and Fire! are both heavily requested-and I'm on the bandwagon calling for those to make it to TPA for fans of both tables.
I realize that I've simply been reading too much into the clue. Reminds me of when people thought BK2K was the next table because of the Black Knight saying "always bet on black" when actually, Black Rose was the next one.
The eleven total references to peeps getting fired before mentioning...
World Cup is also a highly requested table-and I'd like it as well. I think it would translate very well to TPA, provided FarSight has managed to work through the licensing.
It would be a far better soccer-themed offering than that other one that floated around the boards last year.
Then...
This table hint is racking what's left of my brain.
Best case scenario: The eleven mentions of "fired" could be a reference to Williams System 11=which would make Fire! the natural choice.
The power "hiding in the back" could be a reference to finally completing ROM emulation for FirePower...
Well, 12 people wound up unemployed in the hint quote. I must be missing something......
Going by that, it's either Firepower 2 or Fire!.
Maybe the "12" is a reference to how many more months it'll take to update SPA.
I'm hoping Kolchack is right, but where did that come from? Evidence, of course, is a good thing.
If the newsletter did drop, I haven't seen it yet in my inbox.
Hi Zacattack-welcome to the boards. This is one of those times where I'm more interested in the newsletter and next hint than the actual table.
Although with the PFX3 announcement, it's already been a great week for digital pinball IMO.
I was wondering why you've never brought up FarSight's stato-intellicators, binary rectifiers, and pomegranates.
Thanks for elucidating that for us! :p
