I just had it happening as well, and all I could do was leaving the game. Just when I had 5 million+ points stacked up and still some extra balls to go. Gnnrghgfffgnrt.
*goes off now to strangle some kittens*
Mystery Science Theater 3000 would make a cool pin. Just imagine toy versions of Crow and Tom Servo on the table heckling your gameplay. ;) Or having to spell things like T-O-R-G-O, completing the Invention Exchange Mode and so forth. I'd be putting coins into that machine like an idiot. :D
Oh, that was you? OrthancBVV, I presume? :D I noticed someone rising up on my friends scoreboard pretty quickly...
A few days ago I got a score of 3.8 million, but some reason it just won't show up on the online leaderboards. Gragh. I hope I can manage to repeat or even better that score...
It would be cool if the DLC comes out this week... but I wouldn't count on it. If the release was this week I'm sure FarSight would have announced it by now.
I'm not complaining that balls go down the drain but rather how they go down the drain. It sometimes just happens too fast to even grasp what just happened (quite often it seems like it perfomed a teleport or something), and it seems to come out of nowhere.
BTW, I now watched a few gameplay...
So I allowed a little more nudging into my gameplay... et voilá, my scores have been improving a lot lately. I even got myself a #150something-spot on "Black Hole", really really neat. ;)
However it still doesn't change my feelings towards the ball, nor does it remove the problem that I have...
Usually I can keep the ball going in the lower level for almost forever... but once I happen to enter it with both score boosters on and the bonus multipliers turned to the max I get an instant drain - and the gate is closed, of course. lol It's like a jinx.
Not too wild about Funhouse (Never liked that table all that much) but I'm looking forward to playing Cirqus Voltaire for the very first time.
Anyway, I thought they wouldn't announce any more DLC tables until they got Medieval Madness and Bride of Pinbot onto all platforms? I mean... it's...
As I said above, I too played it in real life a couple of times, but I can't remember it being THAT speedy and THAT bouncy as it here. However there's a point in what someone else here in this thread said. This is a game that is 15 years old and the tables that you occasionally see out there...
Yeah, I know what you mean... and it's something I don't mind thaaaat much. Extra balls that didn't score much or just one ball in the game doing well are things which kind of belong to pinball and are to be expected every one in a while. *g* Sometimes you just have losing streak and games won't...
Generally I really like the game... but the more I play it the less I'm growing enthusiastic about the ball. I hear (and read) from people all around that it's acting closer to real life pinball machines, however I don't remember ever seeing/playing one in which the ball is that speedy or that...
Didn't she also the voice work for TOTAN? As far as I can tell the voice on the TPA version was the same on the actual machine that I played. So I can't see why it shouldn't be in the newest version of Medieval Madness...
Anyone else having trouble with it? It used to kill me nearly every time the ball performed that one in PHOF... and it's still happening here in TPA. And it's annoying.
If anyone knows a trick how to save the ball please enlighten me. Or else I'm going to start crying and slamming my fists to...
Now that I played much more I can say that it's definitely happening with the extra flipper on Ripley. When the ball comes from out of the lane above it doesn't seem to collide with it. It that cases it looks and feels like the flipper is 5 cm above the playfield or something.
Hah, unlocked all the standard goals for TOM and almost scored one billion points on my first try. I think I love that table already. *g*
Can't complain about the physics so far, on first impressions I like how the ball moves. It's definitely different to the PHOF Williams Collection, can't...
Well, Zen Pinball still has it, especially when it comes to extra flippers.
It'll be interesting to see if the bug still occurs on the PS3 or if it's just a 360-thing.
I never saw/played any of those tables in real life... but I'd love to see/play Banzai Run on TPA at some point. Not just because it looks pretty interesting on photographs but also because I'd like to see how Farsight how they'd pull it off.
