Put me in the “Zen’s-Williams-app-sucks” crowd.
I’ve installed it a few times – hoping in vain that Zen would have revised the pay model to make it more like Farsight’s. But, after getting frustrated with the grind, just deleted the damn thing.
The other thing that I don’t like about Zen is...
Very enlightening responses. I appreciate the insights.
Since I only play on my iPad, I never really thought about Steam or other ways people might be enjoying their digital pinball games.
Just as the title says. It looks like the bulb/LED that would be there in a real-world machine is burned out.
It never goes on. Even when every other thing on the table lights up, that one bulb/LED remains dark.
And considering that hitting lit ramps is an important part of this table, a...
The big reason why TPA appeals to me (beyond Zen’s horrendous (IMO) business model for the Williams app), is its variety of tables. If I’m in the mood for a 70s-era EM, a late-70s/early-80s SS, or a more-complex modern table, TPA has me covered.
I recently grabbed the AC/DC & Star Trek special...
I’m just curious who else finds the TPA app sufficient when they want to play digital pinball?
I’ve read through the Zen threads, and I have even tried the Williams app.
However, I was not a fan of how Zen’s Williams app was implemented, nor its convoluted in-game monetary system. (I’ve...
Was it already on your device, or did you download it again?
That table is not on my ipad, so there is nothing to delete in data management.
I tried installing the standard version of the game (I generally use the plus version), but Star Trek couldn’t be downloaded.
After that, I tried...
This is how I feel as well.
I have all seven of the tables in TPA and play those when the mood strikes. If Zen releases tables I don’t have, I might give their app another try.
I downloaded the game, got immediately turned off by its format, and deleted the whole mess within three or four minutes.
I’ll stick with TPA until Zen comes to its senses.
Yes, the same account.
My old ipad is the first one with the retina display (4th generation?). It’s running ios 10.
My new one is the 2018 standard model, running ios 12.
It still doesn’t work for me.
On my old ipad I choose “back up save data” to remote.
Then, on the new ipad, I select “restore save data” from remote.
It doesn’t work.
Trying to save the data to local is useless as well because the game gives absolutely no information as to how its done, or...
I just received a letter from FarSight saying that there is nothing they can do about:
"We are very sorry for all of the trouble. We currently do not have any way to manually retrieve your save data."
So, there you have it.
I pretty much just gave up.
I downloaded the plus/deluxe version of the game, got back what I could from doing a remote restore and then tried to re-achieve all the goals.
So far, everything I was able to re-achieve is still there, but the regular version of the game (which is the one that got...
Well, it looks like FarSight has fixed the bug.
I re-downloaded the table (now "v6", previously "v5") and it looks good to go. (Just played a game and none of the issues that had been plaguing me have reoccurred.)
Thank you, FarSight.
Updates that removed Williams & Bally (7.11.0 & 7.11.1) have ruined goals & scores
In another thread, I've written about how the new updates screwed up the goals and high scores for me – with my progress of the past few months being wiped out.
I wasn't sure if it was a one-time glitch or a...
