Multiple FX Pinball announcements today, plus first looks!

I'm still scratching my head on this. Zen and Farsight are two independently different companies. They each can and should make whatever they want for their respective franchises. Whatever the other is doing should not factor in at all. Give me all the licensed tables on my franchise of...

^^^ I literally have no idea what you are trying to say.

Multiple FX Pinball announcements today, plus first looks!

Why would Zen consider anything that Farsight put out for their releases? It makes no sense to expect them to do so. It's reasonable to assume that "brand new" will always mean brand new to the FX franchise.

Pinball FX / FX3 on the Steam Deck discussion

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I connected my Logi MX keyboard to the Deck via Bluetooth and it works just fine. The keyboard saves up to three profiles, so I can switch between my PC, my iPhone and my Deck when I use it. With cabinet mode activated, I went through the process of rotating the...

Pinball FX / FX3 on the Steam Deck discussion

So I got my cabinet code and it works perfectly... on my desktop PC version of PFX3. When I try to enter it into the Steam Deck version, the game will not let me type anything into the entry field. I am aware that the one official problem noted for PFX3 on the Deck is that you have to activate...

Pinball FX / FX3 on the Steam Deck discussion

Thanks, I just sent my request. It's been 40 seconds already though... where's my code?

Pinball FX / FX3 on the Steam Deck discussion

The Deck doesn't have a way to rotate the system's video output vertically. How do I get a cabinet code from them?

Pinball FX / FX3 on the Steam Deck discussion

So my Deck came in this week and I dloaded the free version of FX3 on Steam to check out how the game performed on the new handheld. It looks really sharp and I had no technical hitches at all after an hour of Fish Tales play. But all of that was while playing it in landscape (horizontal) view...

What Exactly is Zen Trying to Pull Here?

If that's the goal, they need to also offer a cheaper option that lets someone pay less in cash to stick to one platform. Then it is on the consumer if they have to re-buy tables on other platforms, but at least they are not over-charged for a feature they may have zero interest in.

Multiple FX Pinball announcements today, plus first looks!

They also strongly hint in the thread that VR support will likely be offered in some form. I have a PS5 with a lock on getting its PSVR2, so this is good "news" to me. The main thing I was worried about though was being forced to subscribe to play tables. I'm glad they will still allow us to...

My wish list for Pinball FX4 (for PlayStation 5)

As a fan of digital pinball machines based on real-life tables, the PS5, and virtual reality gaming, I approve of this message. Get well soon, Matt.

Master List of Issues -- Williams Pinball

Although the issue is appropriately removed from the list in the OP, it should be explicitly stated for readers of this thread that Zen finally fixed the bumper sound bug in ToM and MM for PS4/XBOne (and Win10 too, I believe).

BlahCade #220 Is Their Newest Interview With Mel

Hmmm, I didn't notice any mention of our ability to outright purchase PFX tables without a forced subscription in the new video interview. Hopefully it's explicitly addressed soon at some point.

    The Pinball Show

So I went to the subreddit to try and glean some more info on my main concern with official quotes, and things aren't as rosy as I thought they were a few days ago. Here's what the PFX rep said when asked if we could outright purchase the tables: I wonder if that means there is a possibility...

    The Pinball Show

I just listened to his answer for not carrying over PFX3 tables again, and he said that to lessen the blow, some examples for acquiring legacy releases might include "lower pricing or bundle pricing for the older tables". That sounds more like the purchase option is retained instead of being...

    The Pinball Show

For me and others, that wouldn't lessen the blow but instead would put the nail in the coffin. I'd skip PFX altogether unless I had full ownership of my tables somehow. Eh, that's an incomplete summary of their take on VR. The host simply confirmed that automatic support isn't happening, and...

    The Pinball Show

They still did not directly address the new business model. With that said, there may be some optimism in that they mentioned "bundles" and would try to lessen the blow of PFX3 tables not carrying over through how they offer "legacy" tables. Maybe that means at minimum they will sell us PFX...

    The Pinball Show

^^^ Actually, I said something similar a few posts up: You can see that in the quote, I also expressed what my ultimate goal is... it's not to claim victory over a perceived change that even I admit we may never know. It's to simply be happy if they allow us to buy Neo-PFX tables instead of...

    The Pinball Show

I didn't say that the business model won't (or even shouldn't) change at all. In pretty much each of my last few posts here I specifically state my solution: at minimum Zen Studios should allow us to continue to purchase tables (on PC/console) alongside whatever new business model they've come...
