That's strange. I'm also playing in 1440p with a 3070 ti and with ray tracing. No issues. Rarely I get a short stutter while running in enhanced mode. I notice it happens when a big new animation plays out - like in Medieval Madness the dragon flying around the table for one of the animations...
So I did end up getting Addams Family unlocked.
Only able to play a few games - its been a while and I'm sucking.
I do have to say I hate the plunger animation. The golf club takes up too much of the screen. And you have to wait for the animated golf club to line up before you can plunge...
As an pretty heavy early adopter I wasn't sure what was going to happen with my extra tickets and the new table packs where I might have purchased one or two tables that are in the pack. Well, Zen did say they were going to do right by the early adopters and that was 110% true.
What they ended...
Well its moved out of early access and is on multiple platforms now. Figure I'd start a general thread for comments.
New content with the release:
Addams Family
Gearbox Collection (Homeworld, Brothers in Arms, Borderlands)
Garfield Pinball
Marvel Pinball Collection 1 (10 of those tables)
At that point then yes, it's no different than how it was for FX3. Basically, waiting for the sales to appear on newly released tables. So why not make use of the extra discounts with the ticketing system?
Going back to the old way they'll probably initially offer a 33% discount on all...
For me I knew I'd use the tickets eventually as long as they continued releasing Williams and making interesting original tables. Plus there was another discount in ticket purchases if you purchased the larger amounts ($50 or $100) you get extra tickets.
As far as bundling goes, Zen is the one...
A lot of news for Pinball FX with a major change in that last Pinball Show.
Adam's Family for $10 is great release and a great price. Just have to find out if they're going to use the gold edition rom or not
Console release date isn't too far off. Will keep the console gamers from complaining...
Visual Pinball has always been available even before Pinball Arcade came out. And it's always had the same issues: 1. Setup is not just install and go. 2. Having to tweak the tables to get them to look right for your setup 3. Inconsistent table quality
I had quite a few tables for VP9 and it...
I don't understand how. The @Games pinball machine is $800. Not exactly affordable. And the virtual pinball scene is a hell of a lot more niche than playing pinball on your computer or tv.
As far as tables go @Games has the Gottlieb tables from Pinball Arcade, a bunch of Zaccaria ones, and...
Homeworld still requires Pinball FX so not fully stand-alone. It's basically sold like Indy.
Do wish they would stick with one method of payment though. The ticket system has actually become ok with all the discounts they've added when you bundle tables together. I'm wondering if that's why...
Played a few games of it. Kudos to Zen for making another table that plays almost like a real-life table. They definitely took inspiration from the Wizard of Oz table - particularly in the sound department. Everything you hit, rollover, and ramp makes a cute fantastical sound or melody. The...
It was part of preserving pinball history. I don't recall what its claim to fame was though.
But yeah these tables are not fun to play for any length of time. But neat to check out.
Played a real life at Tom Taylors warehouse and two or three games later I had my fill. Most of the ones from...
If anyone is interested in saving threads it looks like in Edge browser you literally just need to go into a thread, right-click, and save the page. It'll save all the comments and images. Might be like that for other browsers too but worked so well in Edge I didn't need to look elsewhere.
I...
Apparently that is to due to monitor refresh rate. Enabling vsync is supposed to stop it, or lowering your monitor refresh rate.
I haven't run in to the issue yet. I keep vsync off but have my monitor refresh rate down at 120. With my video card 120 refresh rate seem to be the sweet spot for...
Do have to say the lighting they did on the latest table releases (Bride of Pinbot, Funhouse, Space Station, Dr Dude) is pretty fantastic. A very noticeable improvement over the previous FX released tables. BoP and Funhouse are particularly well done. Can enjoy an actual light show are your...
No Congo or ST:NG stinks but otherwise all good news. Will have to give Sword of Fury a fair shake as it wasn't one of my favorites in Pinball Arcade.
The bundling is pretty nice. Bundling SoF, along with the 6 other tables was a good deal. SoF was originally 60 tickets. And the 6 re-releases...
Oh nice. Congo would be a great choice. Very fun table. Would still want ST:NG at some point but would be very happy with Congo.
El Dorado would be a great troll though. :p
