    I've never had a problem getting a game to launch properly through a shortcut before, and I've played hundreds of games on Steam. But even if it is ultimately something that has to be done on the Steam side, I'm pretty sure the developers of the game are going to have infinitely more potential...

    Fair enough, but there has to be a better way to handle this than what is currently there. At the very least there should be a way to have steam remember your selection of DX9 or DX11 and then use the appropriate .exe when launching from a shortcut. Or maybe the two versions need to be split off...

    Any word on this? I know it seems like a small thing, but when you have alternative means of launching games more efficiently and a particularly large Steam library, it becomes exceedingly annoying to have to launch from the client on top of clicking through another selection dialog to play.

    Do you mind telling me how you get the extra buttons to actually function for nudging? I have a Tankstick myself but I found myself just going back to the PS4 controller because I couldn't seem to get the nudging to work on those extra buttons because they're mapped as left and right clicks.

    Interesting. I don't use any mods so renaming the .exe(s) might be a suitable workaround for me, but I just wonder if things will go haywire when Steam tries to pull down updates. That's my concern at this point.
