I'm not making this a sad goodbye (ok, maybe a little) but a celebration of a great run.
Cheers! to you Gord for your dedication and time and expenses to make this a great place to hang out!
Cheers! to Farsight, Zen Studios, Magic Pixel, Microsoft, Barnstorm, Formslingers, Sierra and anyone...
I did some googling and it looks like you might be able to use the stock exciters via OTG mode in other apps including FX# and VPX. I don't know the full details on how but it looks like it's got some functionality in there. But this is the virtual pinball cabinet life. Play a little and...
i have a 27" 4K mini playfield cab with 4 exciters and I can't play without them. It's subtle at first, but once you get it going right, it's so good that you definitely notice when it's not there. I don't even want to play Fx3 tables until I have it working there too. But it's just another...
coordinates should be the same as FX3 - it's basically your display resolution left to right depending on how you've set up multiple monitors in windows and your resolutions
If your monitors are set PF > BG > DMD left to right all aligned at the top, and your playfield is 1920x1080, BG should...
Calling it Cabinet mode is generous. As far as i can tell it lets you set DMD and backglass locations/resolutions and not much else.
If you click it, it makes a Cabinet folder in the mods directory and a settings.ini file in that folder. Settings.ini looks like this - ignore the actual...
cabinet code should fix it. You could probably set up the game vertically by setting your windows resolution that way or using a batch file with irotate and the fx3 exe in it, but cabinet code is easier.

Embracer buys Eidos, Crystal Dynamics and other studios and IP from Square Enix. More licenses under the large parent fold.
I think FX is still UE4. I know UE5 is officially released now but I think Fortnite is the only released game using it. Just about everything else using UE5 is coming later.
update - patch dropped a few hours ago. FPS seems to be locked at 60 fps on all screens now. GPU is still working harder than before, and that's totally RayTracing. Turned it off and temps dropped 10 degrees instantly and fans dropped back to normal.
Also, for those who have AFM and Noir as...
Didn’t have frame rates turned on last night in afterburner because I usually use Steam’s. Of course this isn’t steam and I don’t think EGS has that feature so I couldn’t check that. I’ll do another check today and grab frame rates.
Edit - 113-120fps during game play. - Started at about...
Played the two free tables AFM and Noir, Free version limits you to classic mode for both so I couldn't test arcade physics. Not buying anything here since it doesn't transfer to Steam.
Graphics are slightly better, i like the full dmd on Noir but noticed my GPU and case fan was blowing...
The ticket thing is a scam but the responses that Mel has put up about it being the way they can charge for single tables instead of packs is ludicrous and he's rightly called out for it.
It's also a distraction from the fact that this is for a game in EARLY ACCESS. Which means premium...
Gotta wonder how the ticket system will play with storefront sales. You can’t wishlist a table if it’s not purchasable on the egs storefront. They are certainly pushing wishlist for the main fx title on every video so Its clearly important to them. I guess we’ll see if they have an...
Zen has their Epic money up front. They are going to price tables high and get early adopters cash in hand while they can.
They are trying to get the early adopters for top dollar. 33% off at launch is a deal? It's still $2.70 per table for Zen originals. The Zen classics pack for FX3 has 4...
$15 is the same price that backing the Addams family kickstarter at the Pro table level cost 7-8 years ago.. And this one comes out whether anyone supports it or not and you don't have to wait for Farsight to develop it either. Pinball Wicked is $10 for one table with no license, Pro Pinball...
The Oculus store has user reviews and videos of just about every game. I dont know how much curation is really needed as VR takes enough effort to develop for and has a much smaller installed base as opposed to something like mobile with a huge user base where shovelware can really get out of...
The good news is, we can play both. VPX is a giant pain in the ^&% to set up and maintain, so it's not for everyone. I think it's well worth the effort, especially in a cabinet. But, if you build a cabinet you're already in for a huge learning curve, so this is just another part of it...
