I've not been paying much attention lately...stupid real life. What is the significance of Black Knight? I must have missed something.
Edit: Oops, nevermind, I sailed past the relevant post. Off to play some BK :)
Edit 2: Just over a million on BK. Glad this wasn't an official table...
Full disclosure: While playing my second game of taxi the camera bugged out and stuck on the upper half of the playfield, leaving no view of the flippers. I drained soon after of course. Just another event camera bug I suppose, but it was on ball 3 after locking a ball. I think the score was...
I discovered this myself while playing around today, later to find it had been mentioned in the FH strategy thread as well as this one. It works really well on PS4. Far more repeatable than anything else I have tried. I love it.
When I came back from college the 2600, NES, and SNES were all gone, along with all the games. My Mom loved having a good clean-out and never played a video game of any kind in her life. That being said those systems were all bought by her as gifts and she managed to snag me that last copy of...
I've found Frankenstein to be much more fun than I was expecting. Still:
1. F-14
2. HS2
3. Frank
I like them all though; it's a great start to the season.
I usually short plunge to get the ball safely to the right flipper. Going all of the way around for an upper flipper shot isn't worth it unless you are trying to shoot Rudy in his gob. I find it much easier to only give just enough of a plunge to get it around, leading to a fairly easy Rudy...
Yay Santa! I have great faith in him, he brought me my PS4 to begin with. Assuming he wasn't behind the DDOS attack that took down PSN on Christmas leaving me with nothing to download and play. Many children and a man in his mid 30's cried that day
Oh, and you can pry it out of my cold...
Crap, I have travel plans on the 26th. I'm flying down to Florida. I could bring my PS4 (not ideal, don't want it getting crushed), buy the games I don't have on mobile, or get it working on my laptop with Wine and buy the games on Steam. Is there a chance for a Christmas miracle letting me...
Heh, Rocky and Bullwinkle was actually in the tournament bank at INDISC this year. You can see it around 5:00, 2:23:00, and 4:52:00 in the video (I may have missed some times; I only did a quick scan through the thumbnail images and I watched this almost a year ago). I can't remember ever...
I don't remember if any of the table instructions explicitly mention flipper staging. Using the upper flipper is certainly important in a lot of jackpot shots though, and often becomes much easier once you are down to two balls and don't have to worry about staging at all.
I find that on many...
This feature is usually called staging the flippers. It is really only useful in multiball and is supported in most games from at least the last 25 years or so that feature an upper flipper. Sadly on PS4 it no longer works with the bumpers (due to hardware limitations, nothing Farsight can do...
This guy has been selling 90'ish NIB machines on e-bay for these sorts of prices for years now. He seems to a have a lot of them somehow, and lists them periodically. I remember a 20 grand NIB Cactus Canyon from this guy not too long ago that I don't think ever sold. Looks like he has 20...
workshed originally comes from a quote from Evil Dead II. I was looking for a username many years ago and picked a copy of Bruce Campbell's If Chins Could Kill sitting on my desk. Opened to a random page and it was one where he talked about that obviously dubbed line in the movie. It is one...
I've been watching. Does anyone know when the Tournament, or 'Stern'ament, will start streaming? Last year's Expo tourney was pretty exciting to watch.
