Would like to support it, but I currently have so bad input delay with my wireless Xbox controller....it's much worse than on FX3, making the new game currently unplayable for me.
I would also gladly re-buy all tables for a completely new engine. That is, if they can be purchased outright and kept and played "forever". Subscription means I'll be out of this and I'd be hoping for Zen to give up the WMS license so someone else can sell the tables.
Apropos audio: Is the audio on Funhouse playing too fast (high-pitched) for anybody else?
Also a bit inconvenient that they used the straight left ramp on Dr. Dude and not the original "wiggly" one.
However, the tables play mostly really nice and are a lot of fun. But it seems that this...
Thanks a lot for your comments! This will help me a great deal with my decision. Once I have made the purchase, I will get back to this thread and share my experience
I'm planning to buy a new PC or laptop and want to be able to perfectly play Pinball FX 3 (and TPA, for that matter). So can you give me a rough estimation for what hardware you think is necessary to play either of those games with all settings maxed out?
So, for now, and for Steam users only, the issue is off the table. Let's hope this will get quickly fixed for consoles, too.
However, I wonder what will happen when the censored version of a table erases a full game mode. I'm having CP and the card-playing mini game in mind. Are the scores of...
This is some great information I did not have a clue about. When Mel reads this, he can probably say something about that? I wonder how much effort it would be for Zen to switch the flippers to standard ones, as this will probably have a non-negligible impact on overall table physics. (although...
Does this apply also to Fish Tales? And to missing sound effects like in JY? If yes: awesome! This means that I will be able to look forward to upcoming tables :)
I'm a little uneducated here: Did TPA have that song?
...and the censoring / body shaming goes on, as evidenced by the lady in between the flippers on AFM. Was there not supposed to be some news about that today, too?
Edit: If I see it correctly, also some censoring going on at the cleavage of the pirate girl in the middle of the playfield of BR...
I'd think so too, however, that in itself would already be censorship.
I'm really glad right now that I have access to all the TPA recreations, as this whole scenario seems to be a "two steps forward, one step back" one.
I personally do not wanna jump into the "won't buy" bandwagon, but yes, I am way less enthusiastic right now about the whole Zen/WMS project with the prospect that we might be getting only "kid-friendly" versions of tables in the future. Just imagine that after the announcement of a new table...
I'm surprised that this topic hasn't been brought up yet (or have I overseen that?) but has anything been said by Zen about how (or if) the table ROMs are emulated? Or did they recompile the source files, just like Farsight did for the new Sterns?
