Today saw the release of OpenEmu, a fantastic emulator release for OS X.
Currently enjoying the following, particularly Jaleco's Pinball Quest; which is good fun! Nice silver ball animation with four tables. Devil's Crush and Alien Crush also classic as usual. Nintendo Pinball (1983), not so hot!
Is it possible to implement PC/Console style lighting on Mac TPA?
Tables such as Black Hole / Circus Voltaire are much more atmospheric on the PC than the relatively dull, lifeless counterparts on the Mac.
After reading the PC beta thread, it also seems that the Anti Aliasing options also work when the Post Processing option is turned off on the Mac!
Jaggies have now gone with 8X AA option selected, and the game looks much, much better!

Facebook login seems to work now, my screen no longer stays black after logging in.
Talking of Facebook, someone posted a comment that there has been performance gains on less powerful Macs.
Hexagonal (or octagons) bumpers on Creature from the Black Lagoon on OS X.
I noticed that Blackhole has octagonal bumpers on when 'Level of Detail' is set to 2, but the revert to round graphic style on 'level of detail' 1.
Seems that CFTHBL has no extra art assets or the option to change the...
Any comments regarding table graphics?
I think generally they look okay, minus a lack of anti-aliasing which leaves some the graphics with jagged edges, which is displeasing to the eye.
I'm very impressed by the ball reflection effect, looks fantastic.
The lighting seems to be generally poor...
Good news, the game control issues are rectified!
Left and Right Shift keys control flippers plus 'z' + '/' to nudge the table.
Game is now officially great on the Mac!
No sign of the DLC yet...
On the 4th April 2012; Farsight apparently stated in their newsletter:
'The Macintosh version has been released to the Mac app store. Look for an update later this week that increases the combatibility with more Macs and includes an improved control scheme.'
Now, it's nearly 2 weeks since...
Would it be practical to have additional forum sections by platform, i.e. PC, Mac, Vita, PS, Xbox etc?
It's tricky to find threads where things are being discussed for each platform at the moment.
