Haven't tried it yet, but I would caution for additional research because many of the cheapest 4K displays are HDMI 1.4, which can only manage 30fps at 4K. You need a monitor accepting HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort to get standard 8-bit 60fps at 4K, and I think you need DisplayPort 1.3 to get 10-bit...
Hi NoEx, today's update seems to be working well for me, vs1.70.28 DX11. And I learned something new... while holding down one or more keys to rotate or translate, I can tap the speed up and down, and it all just works as one would want/expect.
Although I also have the Arcooda Cabinet...
Couldn't decide to open a new thread, or necro-post. (After a brief search, this seemed the best thread to use for future enhancements to gameplay.)
Some folks have requested a table slope adjustment. I understand this might be hard due to gameplay tuning.
Something on some real tables is...
Steam gives me the menu option for DX9, but if I try to use it, Steam reports "running" and then the process immediately quits without drawing anything.
I'm pretty sure DX9 worked circa mid-May, but since I have DX11 working for both traditional and cabinet, I don't really see any reason to run...
Based on other threads... some people using controllers had "lost" the ability to finely tune the launch power with the RIGHT analog stick, until they looked at the (theoretically unrelated) keyboard mappings and made sure they were different. Once the keys were different, the controller worked...
Haven't seen any notices, but I opted out of betas and sometime last night it looks like TPA updated the release cabinet version from v1.70.27 to vs1.70.28d, matching the last beta from this weekend.
I don't see a version number on the non-cabinet DX11, so I'm not sure what all was updated.
Mea culpa.
Detailed in other threads, Arcooda and FarSight engaged and now have a beta that resolves a key functional issue with the software that shipped.
When FarSight engaged, all indications were that FarSight was actively using the survey data collected by Arcooda w.r.t. issues people had...
Pantah010, Steam recommends GPU nVidia GTX 560 or higher for the base game. Your GTX 750 Ti confusingly benchmarks about 12% under this threshold. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-560-Ti-448-Core-LE/2187vsm8215... I write "confusingly" because one would...
No scoring visible on Gorgar backglass (2 or 3 monitor mode).
DMD remains faint on Creature (2 monitor mode), looks normal (3 monitor mode).
Game controller does not rumble in Earthshaker, for any setting of rumble on/off.
I would not have expected any change to these symptoms, as FarSight...
Two people on the Steam discussions confirm changing from DX11 Fullscreen to DX11 Windowed mode resolved their black-screen-on-startup issue with cabinet.
In the course of testing cabinet beta v1.70.28d today, I was able to reproduce the reported issue in this thread. And I confirmed an identical behavior with cabinet release v1.70.27.
In my case, if I use the configuration utility to set DX11 Fullscreen mode, then I get a black screen instead...
On my system, TPA Cabinet beta v1.70.28d has substantially improved functionality over TPA Cabinet beta v1.70.28c and TPA Cabinet release v1.70.27. Slow camera issues resolved, all four cameras at 60fps! More details posted in SilverBalls' thread about slow camera views. Kudos to FarSight, I...
Hooray for FarSight!
tl;dr: slow cameras fixed for me in beta Cabinet v1.70.28d!
On my system, TPA Cabinet beta v1.70.28d has substantially improved functionality over TPA Cabinet beta v1.70.28c and TPA Cabinet release v1.70.27.
Improvements:
All four camera views run at full 60fps in...
No change in symptoms with beta Cabinet v1.70.28c on my system. Three slow cameras persist. Otherwise, seems as functional as the official release, didn't notice anything obviously changed.
tl;dr: FarSight met and exceeded my expectation today for "working directly with customers" on a case-by-case basis.
I'm being a bit cagey as I'm writing this because I don't know how much of the content of the conversation FarSight expected to expose; we neglected to have any conversation...
Two direct responses in my email today, making it the most promising day in a while.
First up was from FarSight, as their first direct email response to my 27-Jun report of TPA impact to slow menus and to other processes. FarSight has now requested a desktop sharing session to allow their...
More than a month ago I opened a trouble ticket with Arcooda. In fairness, I was swiftly pointed to an internal tech support email for FarSight, although at the time I did not understand why. When that did not pan out, I made six more attempts to elicit any response from Arcooda. When those...
