Please take a moment of silence as we remember the events of September 11, 2001, and 3,000 souls who have perished on this very day, on the acts of terrorism by al-Qaida.

I was about a mile and a half from the towers when it happened. A friend of mine and I were on the roof of our building smoking a cigarette when the first plane hit. Worst day of my life, by far.
