Another dumb question what is PHoF

I see mentions in various threads to PHoF and mentions of tables that were "ported" over from this. I know the answer is simple but overlooked to a forum newcomer. It would be nice if there was a sticky on what these things stand for so a newcomer could refer to the sticky and know right away what is being referenced. (ummmmm PHoF does it mean pinball hall of fame by any chance ? )

Indeed it does refer to pinball hall of fame. In the case of this thread its the previous game version, not the facility in Las Vegas.

It does mean Pinball Hall of Fame. FarSight put out two games on disc for many platforms several years ago. One was PHOF Gottlieb Collection and the other was PHOF Williams Collection. Many of the pinball machines from these collections are already on The Pinball Arcade. Since so much of the work is already done, it is easier for them to recreate or port them over to TPA. Of course they are much improved in terms of quality (especially the physics). They will still be more to come, such as the recently announced Pinbot. DLC packs usually contains one brand new pin and one pin from one of the PHOF collections.
