I have a chance to buy this and wanted to know if there is anyone here that have played it and what your opinion of it is.

I have never played it myself but judging from pictures and comments elsewhere I am wondering if this is another Shadow, in the sense of a great machine that do not get to much love just because of the theme.

any input is appreciated

We had one on location here for a brief time. Seemed fun enough. Definitely easier than Shadow, though.

I've been told that the motorized glove assembly in the back has a penchant for breaking on many machines, so you may want to look into that before pulling the trigger.

I played it the other night. Seemed kinda easy and it didn't flow well IMHO. Of course the pin next to it was Twilight Zone. :)

Thanks, Sean.

I see that the glove has the potential to be a nightmare keeping it in good order. The seller said there actually is a problem in that when you have locked two balls it will shoot out
2 balls in stead of one. The question is how hard it is to fix that problem? It also have some sun fade but I have read that almost every JM has that to some degree

PinkFreak: Thanks. Easy and not flow does not sound good to me. Strange, It looked like a fast and fun flow game (except for the claw) judging from the pictures, but then again, pictures can only say so much.

Is it possible that George Gomez can make a real turkey? JM and his latest 2 games is the only ones I have yet to try but I like all his other games all of them to some degree ;-)

Getting a good game for less than 2 000$ is hard over here

There is some opportunity for flow - you can alternate ramps and there are some loop shots - but there are also a lot of times when the action pauses for lengthy DMD sequences or glove operations.

I wouldn't consider Johnny Mnemonic a bad game, but comparing it to the seven (or is it eight now?) top-tier machines you already own, you're going to notice the step down.
