[QUOTE="soundwave106, post: 233986, member: 3746"] Most people who have played a lot of pinball believe that the games are actually easier than the real life counterparts. :) Granted, I have not played any of the 1970s / early 1980s machines in real life, mainly late 80s to mid 90s DMD. I remember Space Shuttle though, to me it is easier, TPA is faster than any machine I remember, but it's easier to get in a rhythm on TPA. Hard to tell though since I'm much less familiar with that machine versus say a machine like Adams Family. I will also note that "easier" / "harder" are relative in real life, pins in real life can get dirty (meaning slower balls = easier), have weaker pop bumpers due to old rubber (often this is easier), and also have no tilt whatsoever (if you can physically slide a machine without a tilt warning, it's going to be easier :) ). The operator can make lots of physical adjustments to make a pinball play either easier or harder (from changing the slope for slower or faster play, to adjusting the outlane posts to have less drains to more drains). On TPA, we don't have that flexibility. There's been a long outstanding request for a "tournament mode" with more difficult settings for expert players, I think this shows that if TPA comes with difficulty adjustments, easier modes too might also be nice. :) I think a good controller is key, it's going to be a lot harder with just a keyboard.
