Bug iOS v4.6.0F #7 - Bram Stoker's Dracula

Hi,

I was playing the free table of the month - Bram Stoker's Dracula. It seems that every time I get an extra ball I get a bug.

iOS 8.2 - iPad Air 1

Bug Description: When game ends table asks for initials for high score. After intials are input in, the game doesn't end and wants to continue. When you input your initials for the high score it won't let you continue so you have to force quit the app, hence, my high score doesn't get recorded.

Steps To Reproduce: Bug seems to occur when you get an extra ball and get a high score to prompt for initials. Not 100% sure extra ball is causing this but seems to happen every time I get an extra ball. Game ends fine if I don't get a high score and it doesn't prompt for initials.

Frequency: So far everytime I get an extra ball, especially if I get 2 extra balls. Never seems to happen when I play a game all the way through without an extra ball.

Additional Comments: I'd post a screenshot but I can't figure out how to insert picture even though I see the "insert image" button. Doesn't seem to work. If someone can tell me how to do it I'll post a screen shot.

I own seasons 1 & 2 and really love your game, except for the bugs. I totally understand there will always be bugs but most of them I see are major ones that hinder you from playing a certain table. That's not a big deal but several times it took you guys several months to fix any issues. If you want me to purchase more please fix this issues faster because I really want to purchase season 3. Thanks

Took me a while to figure it out but the problem occurs only if you keep hitting the "select" button after you are done putting in your initials. Still a bug but it's a work around for now.

Hi Posaune,

This bug sounds familiar and has probably to do more with how TPA resolves the "input initials" process than with getting extra balls. We had some tables a while back that gave this kind of behaviour if you touched anything between the end of the game and the "input initials" screen. You could try that first, so hands off when the game ends. If that doesn't work, there are some standard things to try. Just always do a remote backup beforehand if you want to keep your scores, goals and HOF points:
- quitting TPA app and doing a hard reset of your device, then open app again. This probably clears some faulty memory buffers or app caches, or insert some other technical sounding mumbo-jumbo
- logging out and in again in TPA
- manually deleting and redownloading the table (via options menu, manage tables and choosing the table)
- deleting and reinstalling the whole app (I did mention to do a remote backup first! )

From the sounds of it, I would say it's the initial entry bug we experience on most tables. Since the table is on free play, the enter button is tied to the start button to enter initials. However when someone keeps hitting start on a real machine, It will start another game. We have implemented a a skip feature on other devices to help resolve the issue but it's not a solid fix.

The best way to avoid this issue currently is to enter the three initials and wait until the final score gui is displayed.
