Champion Pub Skillshot upgrade

In Champion Pub, how do you upgrade the skill shot? I go for the smart punch almost every time (twice I went for the ? Door) and it doesn’t upgrade.

I only got the Skillshot upgrade when I hit "M". Getting Smart Punch doesn't seem to qualify. Makes sense as the skillshot upgrade is a points multiplier.

Noticed the same. You need to get an M.
