Do achievements work at all at the moment?

Yesterday I thought I'd take a look at what achievements I still needed only to find that I hardly have any despite having top scores/goals etc already completed. Today I deleted the app after backing up the files required to save goals/local high scores etc and re-installed the app. I went after an achievement I don't have ( standard goals on BK ) and completed the goal. However I still didn't get the achievement. Are achievements working for anyone?

Oh, and I am logged into gamecenter and the farsight login.

They were working on the first CFTBL/BK update, but stopped working on the last update. After updating to the latest version two standard goals achievements I got didn't trigger.

Edit: just finished standard goals on MM with no achievement.

I know these can be done retroactively, when I got the game center angry birds update, the first time I loaded it up after updating I was awarded around 10 achievements at once from previous play.
