Fell in love with a few pins today

Was at a regional meet up, and I fell in love with a few pins. Decided not to put this in the requests as they have been requested tonnes already. Just wanted to put my support behind them.

The Getaway: Wow, that supercharger loop. Unfortunately I think the wow factor will be taken away from this in TPA, but in real life it looks awesome. Besides that, it's a fun pin that flows really well. I don't own a pin yet, but I think this one would be in my price range (and fun range) when the time comes.

BSD: Lots of nice shots and flow in this one. Glad it's pretty much confirmed.

Judge Dredd: Images do not do this thing justice. There is so much going on. So many ramps and shots, and that's with a huge chunk of the playfield taken up by a giant disc. I especially like the three-level habitrail. Again, I think the wow factor won't be there in TPA as much, so search for this one in real life.

The rest were even already in TPA, or Sterns or EMs. I had a really fun time. And discovered a few favourites.

All good pins Espy, especially Judge Dredd. I really can't see that being a super expensive license, and FS should look into it.

Had a chance to play Dredd a while back. Would LOVE to see this one in TPA, but how will the second set of flipper buttons translate? Otherwise, I hope it isnt long before...

The layout is chaotic. Takes a while to figure out which shots lead to which habitrails. I played a lot of games on it and there were two shots I never managed to make!

It has been done before with magna saves. It's pretty easy on consoles as they have four shoulder buttons. Not sure how it works on touch devices.

Looked up JD on IPDB. Turns out the game that I played yesterday was a prototype, where the balls are actually physically locked on the rotating saucer. Pretty cool! Wonder how he got ahold of it.

If you want practice for Judge Dredd, find a copy of Pro Pinball Big Race USA. They share the same macro layout with the four flippers which can each shoot one ramp and one orbit/loop, with the same habitrail configuration.

Okay if Judge Dredd is done, it NEEDS this prototype option. The only reason it never made it to production was unreliability. since the TPA version will always work...

I know, I just realised this. The machine I played had the prototype mod. So cool, and unfortunately, is unlikely to make it into a TPA version.

Ironically it spent most of the day turned off because balls were stuck there... maybe they had a point.

Yeah, that's why it was changed. But TPA will be reliable.

Oh, and 3 magnet grab is awesome on TZ, and that will never be in TPA. :(
