With unforgiving outlanes like Centaur and a play speed similar to Whirlwind this Fireball of game is a blast to watch, and it would be even more fun to play ;)

I would say the outlanes in Centaur are pretty forgiving - it's one of the few games where the outlanes have a path to the inlanes!

I don't know, I played Fireball II a couple times this summer and I thought it was pretty good. I'm not a fan of zipper flippers so I doubt I'd like the original more.

I look at this as an original game that was marketed based on the popularity of the Fireball "Franchise." Given the layout and the style of game play it's a pretty standard pin for it's era if you compare it to Firepower, Space Shuttle, Devil's Dare etc.

I like the added challenge of plunging a ball while having 2 in play to complete the 3 ball multiball the weird captive ball bonus collection system, and that top lock is kinda cool.

With some generosity Firepower is also part of that franchise. Fb2 wouldn't add much new to TPA.

The legend is that the spinning disc and little zipper flippers were frustrating players by making the game more about luck than skill. So they made the remake of Fireball with big flippers, Fireball Classic. Also there was a home model specifically designed for home use called the Fireball Professional Home Model. It had a different layout that was very basic.

So there's Fireball (original), Fireball Classic (w big flippers), Fireball Professional Home Model, and Fireball 2.

I prefer the original with disc and zips, then Fireball 2. The others, kinda meh, but hey I'll play you one!

That was my view on this. I hadn't ever seen a Fireball II previously and PAPA always provides such nice quality videos of their machines, so why not offer it for some discussion.

It's not terribly original, as we have determined :p But it does have some neat features, and it is pinball. I would totally throw a credit in the game if I encountered it in the wild.

I love Fireball II. It gets way upstaged by Fireball, which is a shame. I think a Fireball/Fireball II pack would be great, the games are so different that it would work (if FS is still going to do packs).

If they did do Fireball II, fingers crossed, I wonder how they would implement the little demon post on mobile while still maintaining the up nudge and not having the button for the center post off in the middle of nowhere like the original magna save on Black Knight.
