I like this one-turns out the cosmetic changes weren't so bad at all. I just can't afford the season pass yet and TPA no longer allows individual pack purchases with this update.

Making table packs unavailable.....SPA did that too, about nine months ago.

Had a lovely run on this game today. During the Germany Multi-ball in the final round there were 5 balls going and I guess 2 got stuck in the net at the same time so it just kept racking up goals for me until the timer finished. In real life the best I had done was lose 4-2 and before this game that was the best I had done on the computer too. This round I ended up winning 21-6! Got me the wizard goal and a cool half billion. Ended up with a 10.8 billion point game.

Just got 14.8B. I don't expect it to stay #1 for that long. Tarek posted a 10B and I suspect that's just a rollover test....

I don't see what the problem is with the flippers - they seem just fine to me.

Beating Germany a second and subsequent time is near impossible, they usually score 7-8 goals and without a glitch like this, that's a hard ask (even on a real table). The best I've managed is 6 goals. Still at 75M a go, it's not too bad.

The real good points are in regular multiball, once you've got the 250M jackpot once you always start out with a shot at it, plus there are 50M Victory Laps to be had.

Still need to go for cities to get EBs every time you hit Washington. The 2nd, 6th, etc. TV award is a timed EB as well. And the mystery gives out EBs quite frequently too.

Agreed. I've had numerous times now where extra ball is lit so I hit the striker hole, claim the extra ball and then the Striker Award always gives me an extra ball. 2 on one shot - not bad.

How is shooting the Striker Hole for you guys?

The physics are wrong. All shots on the real table are not that difficult. The striker hole is one of the better tasks but far away from the real thing. The lite kickback target and the TV is a disaster. It's possible to shoot the TV with a controlled ball from the right. That works, but looks unrealistic. And yes, the flippers are to weak. Anyway a fun nostalgic table...

I think I'm the only one bothered by the changes. In a perfect world, licenses wouldn't be an issue. I realize the line has to be drawn somewhere. Addams Family did a good job to hide it, and I'm only slightly bothered by it. No Fear went too far imo, without the Valvoline license. The NoFear backglass car just looks odd. But now you have a game with a completely different name. I realize it's a good game, but I'd rather not see it, if it means changing it this much.

Just refer to it as WCS and you're good.

I had some succes with the Striker hole after a flipper pass from right to left when a ball returns from a goal shot. If the ball rolls up halfway the left inlane, a clean shot is possible and repeatable. With the random EB and Washington given out fairly often, you can keep the game going for quite a while. I think I'll make a tips & strategies post for this.

Whenever I hear the announcer's call out "What a save!" I always wait for him to continue with "...by Frank Thomas!" :)

B the way, what's up with the bonus count? Once all bonus components have been added up, the final bonus is repeated a few times (with some sound effects) as if there was a bonus multiplier calculation. Wierd, doesn't make any sense, as the table doesn't have bonus multipliers.

No bonus multiplier, but there are several ways to add to your end of ball bonus.

Goals and cities are the bonus that appears on the first screen. I think you receive 5M for each goal hit and each city visited. Goal and city counts do not reset after a drained ball, and keep growing as your game progresses. But they do flip back to zero after 255, as Tarek Oberdieck reported in another thread. His end of ball bonuses on his 99B game were reaching 2-2.5B.

Each time you score a goal, you hear the announcer growl something like "Ultra Goalie" or "Ultra Spinner." There are four or five of these awards, I think. If Ultra Goalie is activated and you hit the Goalie, it adds 5M to your bonus. Hit the ramps when you have Ultra Ramps, 5 million. I think these bonuses are capped (30M or 50M each, maybe?) and reset to zero after each ball.

That's why you see the bonus count sometimes go through two or three screens.

That's how it always was.

So I just played it for the first time in TPA (didn't even have time to do it when in beta because of busy schedule), and I don't know what you guys are talking about with the flipper strength. Playing on Steam, and it feels just fine to me, like how a normal pinball machine would. TPA is usually overpowered, so this feels nice to me. I also just looked at a side by side of the actual playfield art vs this, and I gotta say nice job. I don't quite know why they had to eliminate Striker from one spot while being able to use a color altered version on the left sling, but big whoop. From my memory of playing the real deal (in the last year), I've got no issues. Great table to now be able to play whenever.

Try again please

Thanks. What Pinballwiz45b said - it's always been that way. Maybe it's to sync it with the little end-of-ball tune? If you scored goals and got some ultra points, it's bum-bum, bum-bum, bum-bum . . . and then that pow-pow-pow-pow on your video. No multiplier; it just seems to do it for dramatic effect.

Check out this video at the 4:45 mark.

I posted impressions for iOS the other day, but now have it on Android, and I will say that the flipper strength on the Android version seems fine. Possibly they did a quick tuning pass before the release and fixed it on Steam as well.

In any case, this table is a blast, it reminds me a bit of Indy 500 from a depth standpoint. Basically, there are a bunch of great things to shoot at from either flipper at any time. So fun.

The only thing that feels a little rough to me is shooting the TV from the left flipper shouldn't be as hard/impossible as it currently is (as numerous others have mentioned), it feels a bit like the old bug in High Roller Casino where you couldn't make the spinner shot due to railroads. I imagine they can fix this in a patch, but it is still possible to hit from the right flipper or bounce it in, so it's not a showstopper.

umm. shooting that tv shot has always been a pest in real life because of the angle of the scoop.

Many a person has had the darndest time trying to shoot final draw when they need it.

it's a VERY tight shot, and the angles make it harder then it seems.
