Just letting you all know there is a friendly pinball tournament in Glasgow on the 12th of April at HMV Buchanan Street. I know at least one other Glasgow-based person here. Entry is £5, and all the machines will be set to free play, so you can just hang out and play unlimited pinball for a few hours even if you don't care about the rankings.
The machines they currently have (though they are rotated quite regularly, so I wouldn't be surprised if one or two have changed):
Lord of the Rings
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Monopoly
Metallica
AC/DC
Iron Man
Family Guy
Avatar
Raven (sorry)
No WMS unfortunately, but quite a few modern classics. Monopoly is a current favourite of mine just now.
I came second place in the last tournament, but I'm not expecting to do very well this time as I'm less familiar with the current lineup (Iron Man and Avatar are brutal, too). The prize is generally an HMV gift voucher or something from a current promotion they're running (e.g. 3 DVDs for £20).
Doesn't happen very often (last one was October), and at only £5 entry it's definitely good value for money!
