Can a Google Play Card be added to your Google Wallet and be used to purchase the Pinball Arcade Season Packs? I am anxious to download the first Pack, but would prefer to use a Play Card if possible. However, I don't want to purchase a $50 card only to realize it can't be used.

Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated.

From http://play.google.com/intl/ALL_us/about/card-terms.html

2. Limitations. The Gift Card may be used for purchases of eligible items on Google Play only. Limits may apply to redemption and use. Items ineligible for purchase using gift card include subscriptions, as well as items in the device section of Google Play including hardware such as phones, tablets and related device accessories. The Gift Card is not redeemable for cash or other cards, is not reloadable or refundable, cannot be combined with other non-Google Play balances in your Google Wallet account, and cannot be resold, exchanged or transferred for value, except as required by law. If you have insufficient Google Play balances to pay for an item on Google Play, you may use a credit or debit card to purchase additional value so that you may complete your payment for that item. You may also load another gift card to complete your purchase, or may use a different form of payment altogether to purchase the item. Once a Google Play Gift Card is purchased, the risk of loss and title for the Gift Card passes to the purchaser. GPC disclaims all express or implied warranties as to the Google Play Gift Card and Google Play. Gift Card terms may be subject to change in our sole discretion subject to applicable law.

I interpret subscriptions here refer to things like Google Play Music All Access, or other types of purchases that incur a monthly recurring charge.

Because the season pass is a one-off DLC purchase, I would bet a $50 gift card* that the Season Pass would be available with Gift Card Credit.

* will not honor this agreement ;)

Those are for subscriptions bought through Google Play though for services. E.g., if you buy Netflix access through Google Play, you can't use your balance to pay for your Netflix subscription.

But the season packs are just another form of in-app purchase so you should be able to use a play card for it.

A season pass is not a subscription, it just unlocks future tables. You don't keep paying for it.

Season passes are not a subscription.

Google play music "all access" is an example of an in-app subscription, where a regular fee is deducted from your account automatically until you cancel it.

TPA season pass is a one-off purchase, which unlocks content in a block.

@Ryan Routon can you confirm how season passes are marked in Google Play to dispel any misconceptions we have.

sure =) Jared is right, they are all entitlements so there should be no difference whatsoever.

I can now confirm that Google Play Cards can be used to purchase Season Packs. I purchased a $50 card locally, added it to my Google account online, and then purchased Season Pack #2 with it on my Android tablet. It even came up as my default payment method when I went to purchase.

Nice on @B A Doe

I'll be gunning for some GPlay Gift Cards for Season 3.

Because of the fluctuating Aussie Dollar at the moment, purchasing Season 2 when the dollar was strong has saved me about $5 over the already discounted pack price offered with the Season Pass.
