People use PC mode because it gives the same response as game mode but also turns off micro dimming. The dimming can cause issues in dark scenes during games making it harder to see. It's not an issue playing TPA. I think you'll find the picture unacceptable in PC mode. If you're having problems with dimming in other games there's two work arounds that I know of for our TV.
