How much would YOU pay for this Catacomb?

I've seen that same machine posted several months ago. It looks drop dead beautiful. But I still think $2,500 would be more appropriate.

I agree. It looks like to me it has had a lot of work done (rectifier board work for example) and the bottom cabinet has been cleaned. But in this Ebay ad take notice of what they DON"T closely show pics of. No pictures of the rear side of the backglass or of the displays or even the game boards. This alone rasies red flags for me; not saying that they're up to something shady it's just that even with it's very high overall quality I can's see paying $4,000 for it unless they can show me the factory crate it came in. Most Stern Electronics pinballs aren't generally that valuable compared to Bally and Williams pins from the same era and I don't see that trend changing anytime soon.

It LOOKS great and I imagine it plays great. Restoration, can, unfortunately, cost more than the value of the machine and in many cases can devalue it. I'd say 2000-2500 max just because of the great condition but honestly if it was all original and just kept up in great shape (like left in a corner gathering dust) it probably would top out at 2000 max.
