How to get the extra ball?

I need to get the extra ball for the last standard goal, and I've gotten an EB through points maybe? might have been the last world tour but it didn't unlock the goal

the rules say to hit the band members when it says to light extra ball, I do this and the extra ball to the right of the CD never lights up..

It functions kind of like Sorcerer, with those targets. The bottom one is Light Extra Ball; it takes timing to make a shot to the targets to lock that award in.
