Interview with the legendary Tarek Oberdieck

I'm posting here because Tarek is famous/great enough that this should be of prime general interest. (It was of even more interest to me as I knew nothing about Tarek before this interview, and I'm very interested in knowing about all the top players.)

Of course it´s of prime general interest. I always had my doubts with the top highscores in TPA. In the past, I even thought, that Oberdieck might be a cheater.
He scored so incredible high. But now it seems to be no fake or cheat. Funny, that we were born in the same year. Many parallel lines in biographie, but sadly for me not in the highscores

Thanks for this post. Very interesting interview with a real pinball wizard.

Very interesting, after reading the interview Ive bought the 3 pro Pinball tables from gog.com
I've examined the Tarek's scores and I'm particulary impressed by 9 millions (!!!) obtained at Big Shot table. It's literally unbelievable, before reading the interview I supposed that was an hacked score, now that I've understood that it's a legitimate score, I'm totally amazed and a little jelaous ;-) (my record is 274.000...)

He was, but Tarek has recently been on a serious tear and is #1 now. This all according to [MENTION=446]invitro[/MENTION]'s unofficial rankings, mind.

Tarek was always better than me, he has plenty of scores like that Big Shot that I can't touch. He just took a year to get around to playing enough tables to add up to a high enough ranking. I'm not trying to pass him again.

Yeah a lot of the scores he's put up can be reached with a ton of grinding, but that Big Shot score really shows what's up. It's just mindblowingly difficult to achieve.
